If people with a family want to buy a new car, then they should opt for something different, rather than the Opel Adam. I think this car is mostly intended for a single person, with the possibility of 1 passenger. So quit making negative comments about having no room for people in the back seats. I think this is a great car with such a unique design and which can be personalized in loads of different ways.

+Janica Saliba Spiteri Yes but if they dont mention all that, then such review would not be complete? They are not there to make decision for you whether it's good or bad. They simply show everything and give a valid feedback. If you have 4 people to drive daily then this car is not for you however it's alright if you are single... Did you not get this impression from this review? i did so I believe its an adequate review

If u wanna go for a small city car, go for a Vauxhall Viva or a Hyundai i10, bit more room for kids.

Fantastic car! Excellent build quality, nippy yet reliable engines, packed full of tech as standard and ridiculously low price when you consider that it's 0% apr meaning pretty much all rival cars will cost more when you add on all the tech you get with an Adam. She mentioned that the ds3 gets more mpg which is true, but when you compare the price of an equivalent spec ds3 it's actually still cheaper to pay more for fuel and less on finance overall. It's definitely a car to check out before making hasty 'corsa' and 'fiesta' decisions
@inewt71811 жыл бұрын
Knowing the car is actually intended for a single driver, maybe a passenger up front, who gives two shits about the back seat space. "Family Vacation" in the car, well there is plenty of room for two and their weekend worth of luggage. Just tired of wasteful 'critical' comments spewed about a car that the drivers don't give two shits about ... just talk up the good stuff and move on.
@inewt71811 жыл бұрын
Ok Chasing... the average size of a Family in America has shrunk to about 2.55 people. And unless you don't count all those couples that are married without children as something else other than a family... then I think you have your definition of Family literalized a bit too much.

It's a city car... no person in their right mind would buy one if they have a family. The light steering is for whizzing around congested city centers and tight car parks, yet you bring it out on B roads. Bad review. Didn't give the car a chance in its natural environment!
@misfit20224 жыл бұрын
It’s roughly the same size as the 2005 Corsa and that is fine on B roads although slight body roll can make corners interesting and also fine on motorways.

I've seen one today and I must say this is definitely not a car for a family. It is more of a lifestyle car for a single or at most two people. The interior is very nice, I was quite impressed by it. The screen is huge. I think it would suit a woman or a young couple as it has the quirky look to it. The seats are more comfortable than the Mokka which I also looked at and the interior in Mokka also looks a bit on the cheap side. The Adam interior wins over the Mokka hands down and the price is also reasonable. Then again Mokka is more suitable for a family as it is a small SUV.

Adam is the name of the founder of Opel, which this car actually is. They were probably inspired by the Ferrari Enzo. But on the other hand, I am not sure if the Mercedes-Benz "Karl" or the Ford "Henry" would catch on.

The handling has been set up to be a town car with no feel and very light steering to appeal to its target audience. the electric steering system is easily changed by vauxhall and the adam's handling will depend on the set up of the car. Will this mean moders will get hold of this equipment and change the characteristics of their car, not just the adam, but on all cars with the new electric power steering.

My point was that Vauxhall is no more semi-independent car company that makes cars that are marketed only as Vauxhalls . They produce only some models , that are also made in other countries . Long ago , it was car company owned by GM , today it is not even subdivision , only brand-name for GM Europe and development center for some models , like Dacia in Romania , Avto Vaz (Lada) in Russia , Škoda in Czech Republic and Seat in Spain .
@Mladjasmilic12 жыл бұрын
Opel Adam was founder of Opel in Germany . As Vauxhall doesn't make any cars , they just take some GM cars they like (mostly Opel) , remove original badges , move steering wheel on wrong side of car and put Vauxhall badges on it . Other Opels not ending with 'a' are : Rekord , Commodore , Kapitan , Admiral , Senator , Diplomat , Kadett , Signum ; Vauxhalls without 'a' : Cavalier , Blemont , Carlton , Chevette , Magnum , Monaro , Monterey ...

Well, using the same platform doesn't mean it's copied. Fiat 500 is retro styled supermini and Ford Ka is just opposite - contemporary dezigned as it can be. Or You want to say that Audi A8 is a copy of VW Polo, 'cause Polo was first on their MLB platform?!?
