Thanks Andy for the excellent video. Keep the Astra G videos coming. I really like the captions you use with relevant info as needed, great idea and very helpful. The production style of no music, no adds, just one man and his car is excellent. Cheers from your 500th subscriber!

Cracking engines these. I will say the timing belt is a must when it is due along with the crank seal as they always like to leak a little. This Astra has a full stainless steel exhaust system 😁👨🏼🔧

How do you reset the INSP light, trying on my Zaf but it's not working

Hi buddy! Key in ignition - Hold the trip button and turn key to position 2 - continue to hold and it will start flashing or the dash symbols will appear - once they stop flashing let go of the trip button. 😁👨🏼🔧

I miss my Coupe, great cars to work on. Mine was lowered on coilovers so it was an interesting procedure to jack it up! I always made a mess with the oil when unscrewing the filter! What was that you used to clean it up? This motor looks in great condition.

They seem to getting thin on the ground, especially up here in Scotland. This motor is in great condition and one of my favourite motors to work on. The spin on filters have always been a messy job, I try to slacken it off and wrap it in rags when possible but they always seem to need force to slacken and as soon as you free them off the oil spills out before getting a chance to cover in rags so I just accept I will be cleaning up afterwards. I use brake cleaner to clean up the split oil

@@AMSVauxhall Cheers I have plenty of that on my shelf, I'll use that next time. I much prefer the cartridge filters, less messy, I don't know why they changed it on some Vauxhall engines to the spin on type.
