I had the 1.8 Gsi Opel Ascona. Customised paint job, grey leather covered bucket seats, low profile tires, 17 inch Infinity five spoke mags, rebuild and tuned motor, air inlet scoops from a Gsi Kadett, free flow exhaust stainless steel system and a Pioneer sound system. Beautiful, spacious and fast. Miss my Gsi!

Had one exactly the same, apart from was a manual, on a B plate, in the sky blue metallic, my first proper car, loved it until my mate left me for dead one night after we'd been out with our ladies, in his red 8 valve GTE MK2. That was when my love for the Astra GTE Mk2 began, had one 8 valve and two 16 valvers - those were the days.

bonnet seems to be a different colour, i had a red saloon sri back in mid/ late 90s drove from arbroath to london the recaro seats were amazing so comfy

Beautiful car. I had one in the same colour back in 1990. Even then it wasn’t in as good as condition as this one

It's poverty spec. Mine had Power windows, mirrors, trip computer and plush brown velour upholstry. The 1.8 8v K-jetronic 115hp pulled like trains for some reason - none the later 2.0 8v came close.

I had a 130,ate a William's Clio for breakfast,after 60 took off,it got stolen,did 137 flat out,but tyre's & suspension used to feel a bit dangerous at that rate on uneven surfaces (M40),good mpg as long as speed constant, regardless of how fast
