How to replace the headlight bulbs on a corsa d facelift model, 1.2 petrol, needing to remove the plastic air box to gain access.

Usually, it takes me over an hour to change this bulb. After following this video and taking the airbox out, the bulb was changed in under 10 minutes start to finish! Thank you 😊

Brilliant! I eventually got my passenger side bulb in. Kept trying to twist the bulb into place and then realised you just push it in firmly. I am just about to do the driver side and this is the best video I have found in two days of looking! One video said you had to take the headlights out to get at the bulbs! Good job and thanks!

What a carry on I changed mine in less than 5 minutes in the dark without taking air filter etc out Undo clip, pull cover away, pull out light, make sure square at top when you put new one in, clip light back in, reposition cover and click into place. Job done in 3/4 mins tops

@@aaanton11 Hi Anton ive been meaning to reply as I need some further help, when I was feeling for the light fitting I first pulled out the dip beam mechanism stupid I know. I put that back in where it is supposed to go however when testing the dip beam it doesn't engage, I can hear the motor but no movement in light dip...I've checked and it seems I have it in securely. Is there something else I need to adjust? I read somewhere about some yellow hex adjuster? Any help will be great. To top it off her near side bulb has gone now.

Legend, thanks for this, thought it was going to be painful but your video really helped and had it done in 25 mins. Connector for bulb came off when trying to pull the bulb out but putting it back on and giving it a wiggle a few more times and everything was good. Air box was much more simple than I thought it would be. I did the heating matrix a month ago also which was way more difficult. This is my daughters car and I can just about play around with it like I did back in the early 90s with my Escort etc, good ol days.

@@kravez16 sounds like the mechanic charged minimum 1 hour labour; standard practice in the trade. If they charged by the minute for small odd jobs they'd make very little money for their time

@@kravez16 I agree but it's the same principle as a taxi's "minimum rate". If the taxi picks you up and leaves you 3 minutes down the road, without a minimum charge he'd make about £2, whereas with his minimum charge he is guaranteed to always make at least £5 or whatever his rate is.

Struggled my ass off last night replacing the bulbs on my wife's corsa 1.4. The booklet only mentions removing the air hose in the front of the black box. It allows some space to get your hand in but took about 30min and I'm sure the bulb was not in the best condition thereafter. Didn't have time to loosen things I didn't have the confidence to put back together before bed time. Will give it a shot next time. Even the opposite side was a pain with very limited space making it difficult to keep the bulb in the correct position when pushing it back in.

Anton, I've got one of these. I rarely drive at night. I was driving on an unlit road the other night and it seems to me the lights don't light up more than twenty feet in front of the car. There was another car in front of me so I couldn't go to my main beam. Is there a way I can sort out the problem?

Some models are fitted with a headlight height adjuster inside the car, to allow you to raise or lower as required, if you don't have one check out my video on adjusting headlights on a Bmw, the principles are the same on the corsa , Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

If you got small hands you can change the bulb without removing the air box. The engine bay is poorly designed bulbs should be easily accessible. Another piece of dumb engineering

I did this but the metal strap that holds the plastic cap on over the bulb broke off. So now the plastic cover is not covering the bulb area - is that a huuuuuge issue????
