vauxhall Corsa overheating. this may be your problem

what you have pullled out looks like an heater blower resistor. It does not look like a relay that I am actually used to seeing

That’s very helpful but if the fan comes on when you unplug the coolant temperature sensor on top of the water pump can you tell if it will be the resistor or not ? I have ordered a resistor anyway just £10 from eBay , thanks

The fan will come on high speed where normal conditions it's low speed hence the resistor

@@bazmeredith it comes on full speed when I am disconnecting the temp sensor so that indicates the resistor it’s fine 🤔
