I'm interested to know what screen you are using? Alll the research I've done I do see that a specific ust screen would be best but as a first time purchaser I want to know if I can buy a cheaper screen before going all in to test in my home?

How many feet back can you go with the regular speakers on the vava and still have a head a good amount of sound without having to buy separate speakers? Ty

My understanding is that with UST projectors such as these, at the end of the 25000 hrs life, the bulb intensity just goes down to 50%. I have not heard/read anywhere that the bulbs in these units are user replaceable (similar to traditional ceiling mounted projectors) as mentioned in this video at around 7:24 into the video. I am confused as I am trying to decide on whether to go with UST projectors for home theater or stick with traditional mount projector with user replaceable bulbs. 🤔
@kriswingert166211 ай бұрын
Well, it is not a "bulb", it is a LED laser aray. I tis NOT replaceable by a layperson. I repair devics such as these and I do NOT recommend you try.

Diagonal. My screen is 120" and the projector had much more to give.

Vava 4K is very silent. You cant hear the fans. Getting the Pet Crystal from XY screens is a must to see this during the day and lights on to use as a TV. The only downside is that it is currently not supporting 3D. I returned it and got an JMGO S3. Not as silent, but 3D is so worth it!

Any luck updating the firmware? I’m stuck on v1.25 and can’t seem to connect via OTA. A new firmware is suppose to be release tomorrow on 11/29. Support seems to ignore the fact their servers are not working for OTA update.

Yeah, I had a problem with updating as well but was already on the most recent version after checking their website to verify.

Support is def an issue with VAVA - I do own it, love a lot of things about it, but the support is horrendous. You are only able to troubleshoot via email. My remote came to meet doa and it took 6 hours to get a person that could tell me that I could plug in a keyboard via usb to control the interface.
@raychow54195 жыл бұрын
@@patricksheridan2829 I agree, I called the support number on their site and they have no clue on what to do. They forward your question to an office in China and their support is in China. Emails some times takes up to 2-3 days for a response or sometimes not at all. They also seem to dodge your question and offer no solution. I can't even sign up for their forum where users/owners can discuss the projector. They have still yet to fix what ever the problem is for the unit able to connect and accept a firmware update.
@patricksheridan28295 жыл бұрын
It’s def not a 3k loss, nor did I purchase via indiegogo, but support was an issue and while it was refundable, I’m glad I didn’t have to find out how difficult that would have been to get.
@GMOriginal35 жыл бұрын
The problem is the screen! Its expensive since it has to be shortthrow 4k screen.. right? For 120” its $1300!! Whats the cheapest solution for this? What do you use?
@jeradtech5 жыл бұрын
I used an old pull down screen I had. It was nothing special but it was not junk either. The quality of the image is good as you can see me share in the video. I can only imagine how good it would be with a quality screen. I may invest in that after the first of the year and will report back here in an update video.
@GMOriginal35 жыл бұрын
StateofTech oh you used just a normal screen. It looks already good! I may use a cheapper one for now and then when i can i will invest on a proper one.
