You have a great eye for detail in this. Great to see that kind of attention paid to the story. Kiki can change into wild shapes and one she fights as is a tiger (nicknamed Minxy). She has that roar and fierceness for her friends and Vax especially it seems. Vex flirts but with Percy, she flirts a little harder than most maybe. Will it lead to things? Hmmm who knows…😜 Definitely look up the Sun Tree comparison Critical Role or Vox Machina. It is a wonder to see the realization spread through the players as Matt describes it. Dark as hell. In the campaign, Vox Machina was actually sponsored by Gilmore's Glorious Goods. Pike is the heart of Vox Machina, even more on the show. Vax is indeed the nicknamer, calling Pike "Pickle", Keyleth "Kiki", Vex "Stubby" (she's slightly shorter), Grog "Big Man". He has nicknames for Scanlan and Percy in the show too. most of their "greatest kills" were from the campaign. Grog fought a bullette (land shark) in the Underdark, as did Keyleth killing a duergar (underground dwarf), while Vax killed a Rakshasa in a different arc. if you remember from the first episode, Keyleth said that Vax and Vex only care about themselves. In the intro, you see them as children before a fire (with Trinket) - they've been on their own relying on each other. This gets explored more in season 2. that ending... it was so brutal. I do recommend watching one of the comparison video as Matt describes the scene.

@@AstroReacts1 There is a novel that is about Vex and Vax before they met the rest of the team. It covers why she is so overprotective of him. No spoilers but basically He is kinda quick to fall in love, and he constantly rushes strait into death to try and help people he loves. She really does not want him to die.

The "Sun Tree Moment" (as it was dubbed by the fandom) was the moment in the game when the entire tone really shifted. The descent into a more serious story started when Percy destroyed Desmond's hand, that was the first time any of them really leaned into that kind of intensity, but THIS moment at the tree was where it really hit home for the characters (and the players) that oh, we can't just skip through the countryside killing monsters any more. The Briarwoods killed these people because we got involved, our choices matter, we have to make sure our actions are worth the cost. It was a turning point in the story, and the echoes of that shock carry far into the future of the campaign. The Adam and Eve thing works for a lot of folks, but I always found it easier to remember that Vex is often "vexed" (annoyed), just because she's usually more serious than her brother. That was what worked for me when I started watching, I didn't hear the Adam and Eve thing until much later.

13:25 -- Why is she the only one asking questions? It could potentially be because the girl providing the voice was Sam's (Scanlan) daughter. It could also be that the adults know better than to ask questions when the Briarwoods are involved. I like saying this. The end of this episode is a test for humanity -- if it doesn't make you stop and say, "That's fucked!" you failed. We're all hesitant to tell you why Pike's hair is white; it's because of a specific event that happened in the game before they started streaming, and we're thinking they might show it in the show at one time or another as a flashback. You probably already know this if you've watched the next episode...Cpt. Stonefell is the ugly humpty-dumpty-looking dwarf -- the guy who announced that the dinner guests had arrived.

They got his daughter to do the voice that’s cool, and it makes sense that the adults just know better. Then ending scene definitely had me shook and now you’re just making me curiosity about pikes’ hair stronger.
