Thanks so much, did the same full pull apart and clean, it now works a treat. I could not of done this without you. One thing I found unacceptable was the motor housing squashing down on the 2 blue motor wires. I notched out 2 x sections to allow for the wires to be free. A simple solution. Not thought of by VAX!

exactly at 13:24, there is a rubber seal that you put on top of the vacuum motor. is that spare available? what is it called? i am struggling to find it. The one that comes in my vacuum cleaner is made of a foam material and is completely worn out.

My switch button isn’t coming on.. the one you press to turn on and off the machine I have changed the plug fuse 13amp and cleaned all the filters

When I did mine I also jet washed the hose and tool ! Loads of gunk built up !

Thanks for this video, it is really useful to see all the parts. When you wash the blue internal plastic part, you remove a black flexible plastic part that is not replaced. This is not on my vacuum and I think that it should be there. I have found that dirt goes straight through the collection chamber and into the pre-motor filter without that plastic bit??

I have this hoover but the rubber that makes it air tight between the hoover and the canister has 'gone missing' (we recently moved so think it was binned after the new home cleanup. Nightmare) does anyone know where I could get one please?

I offered them a fiver for the rubber part I needed and they were more than happy with that, excitedly awaiting for my part to arrive

@@bootsowen have cleaned out the plastic parts still no suction will have to now look at the motor. Can’t find any help guides for this model. I suppose it’s not working so if I take it apart and it still doesn’t work what’s to lose 😁

I would just fault find from the hose back to the motor. What I mean is turn it on. No suction at the nozzle? Take the nozzle off. Then the hose, etc until there is suction. Or start at the motor end. You can turn it on with all of the parts, canister etc removed and feel for suction. Some vacuum cleaners have a filter each side of the motor. Check those too. It’s unlikely that the motor has lost suction.

Myne has a funny noise coming from the membrane around the motor, tried to put back in place, but it keeps doing the funny noise and then loose the suction and motor won’t cool down.....did you leave the membrane around the motor just below the top rim or was it sealed to the top?

sounds like something is loose and getting blocked in there, I would check all of the airways and hose and replace the filters.

bootsowen I think you are right, I’ve just cleaned everithing and soaked the filter into warm water.....too much dust coming off....It blocked the filter.

You made a mistake. At 1:09 after you removed the filter, you also removed a piece of material. When you re-assembled it, at 20:30 you put the piece of material in the wrong place.

Paid £70 lasted 6 months lol these are utter garbage... requires cleaning constantly such a fragile crap and fitted with hundreds flippin filters so it can clog up every 5 minutes of hoovering

Users only really want, and should only need, to adjust normally removable parts. None of this business with screwdrivers. You remove side wheel filter things but don't say how, on my model they don't seem to come off. Btw mine has just lost suction again and I cleaned it and put the parts back together - it didn't sort it. Then taking the main unit off again I noticed the circular filter pad was not sitting properly,, it had moved when I'd put back the top section and turned it to lock it. I reseated the filter pad and now the suction has returned. That seems to work
