Liam was really ahead of the rest of the group when it came to rping. He wasn't embarrassed to push through and you can see how the rest of the group started to understand that with time. The only ones who took Vaxleth seriously at the start were him and Matt but it really paid off and completely changed the scope of critical role's character development in general.

@@Ljngstrm Odd, I always found him to be my least favorite. Selfishly hoarding and tossing aside magic items he doesn't need. So many poor decisions that he tried to make affecting the whole group. Lots of hypocrisy as he criticizes others without a sense of irony. Often trying to make bad game and play decisions for other characters that they don't want to do without consulting them. These things make him my least favorite. Even the whole Vaxleth thing seemed forced, considering he had a much more meaningful relationship with Gilmore, and it was probably started because he wanted his character to have a romantic relationship in the group and the other girls were not an option. I'd say Travis is my favorite, followed by Sam and Laura. I don't think anyone takes it more seriously than Laura.

@@sjtez and I cant really see a problem other then his mood eveyone seems okey with vaxleth.Even marisha find a way to reflect her character's childish and pure mind set with that romanticism .Watching campaign one and finding moments for vax you can always see whenever something happen about vax its always something sad and hard.And this effect liam's playing style.But whenever he is off the character he become normal funny self .You can see it in victor moments.And lets talk about gilmore .You cant force yourself if you dont love somebody.just bc they have meaning doesnt mean they need to be together .This is the meaning of forcefull relationship .Vaxleth was always much more highschool type relationship. Giggles,first kisses etc.I can understand and respect you .You dont need to love him.But there is no need for writing random things just bc you feel like that

@@sjtez And one last thing. İf you watch the last arc again you can see how keyleth messed up because of deal. Watch the ending of campaign One ending. Vax was always loved gilmore. Much like a best friend. Watch the moment where gilmore,cassandra,and kaylie moment in last arc. And watch liam's face. He is a good roleplayer. Sam give us good moments. Emotional moments. This moments special because they are rare. But liam give this moments everytime something bad happened. That was normal for him.

@@chrisbotos Some people didn't like Keyleth, because she acted as the moral one in the party, and actually told the other characters off when the party did something questionable. Which can be understandable, you don't have to like every character in a show. The problem is that this dislike for Keyleth turned into hate towards Marisha. For a good part of the first campaign, she was getting harassed online, even receiving death threats. But, AFAIK, things calmed down for the second campaign.

@@LeopoldC This has always baffled me. She and Pike bring a moral balance to the party that I feel is necessary in every party (depending, of course, on the campaign). If people dislike that or those characters, okay fine, but to turn to harassment at the level I've heard happened is insane. Especially because, I feel, Keyleth was a fun character and had some great moments, both as a character and as an aid to the party. Did people really dislike her *that* much just because she was one of two moral characters??

I LOVE Vex’s interactions throughout their entire relationship. From being the overprotective jealous sister, trying to figure out where Keyleth’s head is at. Not wanting to have her brother’s heart broken. To welcoming Keyleth like a sister. Laura was one of my favorite parts throughout the season.

And let's not forget, she was all about trying to passive aggressively tear down the relationship in the name of keeping her brother to herself while also drawing close to Percy and secretly marrying him without anyone, including her brother knowing. Vex's hypocrisy adds further complexity to this drama, as Vax is far more balanced in his wariness of Percy being close to his sister, but accepts him still far easier than Vex accepted Keyleth, because he cares more about his sister being happy than her being with him.

Thank you so much for putting this supercut together! I'll admit, it hurts my heart a little to see the various points in their relationship where they discuss Vax's deal with the Raven Queen, and Keyleth's immortality. We know how it ends, we know they won't get to live happily together, to part ways with the Raven Queen at some point later on.We know that at some level, even though he loves Keyleth, Vax *chooses* not to try to resist the Raven Queen or break the deal. We know their reassurances to each other, that it will be alright somehow, won't prove to be true. Yet it also makes the story resonate, because in real life we can't beat death or fate either. And with Vaxleth, I think everyone would agree, "it was better to have loved and lost." That's basically what both Pike and Vex told Keyleth at different points - to take the chance - to allow herself to be happy, with Vax, and not to live in fear of what might happen. How lucky they were, indeed. It will be a long, long time before I stop thinking of these two...

The way Liam looks at Laura when Vax finds out that Vex got married without telling him is heartbreaking. For a little context. Before Vox Machina went through the 1 year time jump; Vex told Vax, and I quote, "Just don't go getting married without me." I can only imagine the heartbreak and confliction Vax/Liam had be going through right there. Heartbreak that his sister went and did the thing she told him not to do, thus causing him to not marry Keyleth. Which, by the way, I really think would've happened if she didn't tell him that. On the other hand, I'm sure he was happy for her. Vex is Vax's best friend. Now all that is sad, but the real gut punch is that Vax said he wasn't upset, he was just sad he didn't get to be there on her special day. Damn you Liam. Vax was such an amazing character.

Everyone freaks and acts like teenagers at the first romance scene of their game. Matt just calmly prompts them to continue. When it's gets derailed, he steps in and keeps them on track. Best DM FTW! When I first watched it, I was super uncomfortable for the whole thing (reacting to the cast). But now, after seeing both campaigns... this is SO adorable, I can't even. It's honestly like watching their first steps into how so FUCKING good this show will get. And this is just the romance aspect. There are so many other ways they went from fun to GENIUS level story telling over the last five years. And the best part is that it's just a game. 'Just a game' in the hands of fun people is the recipe for the best show I've ever seen (and I'm a jaded, seen it before, ZZZZZ, type of person). Thank all of you for creating this show.

As much as people love Campaign 2's characters and as much as I want a happy ending for Vaxleth, I don't think any moment will ever come close to the emotions of campaign 1's ending. Ending Campaign 1 with "And everyday that raven comes to visit" is art, the perfect line to conclude this chapter of their story. Spoilers for Campaign 3: There is a lot I can say, but I'll keep it simple. Ludinus' plan banked on the love Vax and Keyleth share, and that their love transcends death itself, that is beautiful. Keyleth has never stopped trying to get Vax back, and the Raven that comes to visit being missing in C3E68 cause Vax is imprisoned is heartbreaking. I hope 30 years in universe later, that they are allowed to get their happy ending. With how much time has passed I don't think it'll undercut the emotional impact Campaign 1 had. We'll know if its going to happen if we get a VM one shot in the near future, because if it were to happen, Matt would 100% let Liam and Marisha act it out. Granted that could happen without a one shot.

I can't stop crying. When I hear about this ship I thought it was just fan shipping, you know. That moments of friendship could be taken as romantic but never confirmed at the very least. Even when I was watching the TV series I thought it was a little bit of fan service or that Keyleth was going to just say "sorry I don't feel the same" after all I thought it would be a little bit awkward to act those scenes. And at the beginning it was but then the more serious the relationship was going the less awkward it became. Is Real, is Canon but so Tragic! Her long life was already tragic enough but she let herself love and try this relationship. She probably thought she would have to see him grow old and die but at least they could have many years together until them.
