I just had that exact problem with the long bolts AND no pressure plate bolts. I swapped a NV5600 into my 2006. For the PP bolts I went to the dealer and got some to figure out the size, then bought some regular grade 8s with lock washers. The only replacements I could find for the flywheel bolts had a 17mm head instead of a 19mm, but they still worked fine... Edit: I wasn’t going to cough up the extra money for the ARP. If anyone needs to know what I used just reply and I’ll try to post a link.

I had less problems swapping my 96 12 valve into my 04.5 dodge it seems. Threw it together in literally a weekend and sent it 1100 miles the next couple of days. I did a ton of research before I attempted the swap but it went together quick, just had minor annoyances on the first voyage. Used the clutch, trans, adapter plate, starter, etc.. from the commonrail engine. I wish the videos didn't get deleted..

@@VBELTandSON Yeah I give you that. I'm impatient as hell. Loving the build though. That'd be a route I'd be curious to try though. ppumped 24valve in a commonrail truck. Keep it coming!

I just did clutch on my 89 gmc with the 6.2 diesel I ended up asking friend that worked on lots of square body chevys he recommended 2 long bolts to help get height and rotation close the trick worked great. I had jack just like yours and did it on my own with transfer case still attached sm465 and np205 are both solid cast iron. I understand your pain of getting a heavy trans up into place on your own.

I realize this was a while ago . I have installed a g56 in my 95 . It's a 4x4 and had the large hole in the floor . I cut the floor out of a burnt cab of a 98 truck that was 4x4 automatic. I got the floor shifter ,rod and floor console for a automatic. If I can get it aligned properly and not hit the g56 with the floor shifter I be good . I got a lower boot for the g56 . Thought I wire weld up the holes with some metal or cut the floor out and weld in the floor I got from the 98 . Then undercoat ect seal

Sam, you need to use a set of studs on the engine block to align the bell-housing/transmission. Takes all the cussing out of the installation. I use two at the lowest positions and one on the top. Once you've got the other bolts in, then remove the studs and install the remaining bolts. Please don't jack the engine up using the harmonic balancer. Not good for the crank or balancer. The truck is going to have Grandma in tears once she sees the completed job. You heard it here first.

V-BELT and SON the actual shifter stick that the shift knob would attach to, the 05 g56 ones look exactly like a 5600/4500 one but the rubber damper at the bottom is larger because of the g56 gear roll over.
