@@omniversal7 I have not done much to it since the last update John. But plans are underway for really nice record store bins and wall shelves for displaying some of my records. To tell you the truth, I have been enjoying it by spinning so many albums that I have not listened to in years. I would have never guessed that I would be listening to everything from The Jam to Robert Johnson to Jermaine Jackson to Speed, Glue & Shinki to the Ghetto Bros. Its been so good taking time to actually listen and enjoy my records. I will be putting up a new video soon John. Thanks so much for asking~

Mark and John, a heartfelt thanks, for making time to do this video, Life is getting more and more absurd. Is this the Age of Aquarius? My Hindu pal describes our current ''situation'' as '' the hare is chasing the dog''. Yes, I mentioned the live Man album, in your last video.Billy Cobham fits in nicely with first albums you both showed. His album, '' Life And Times'' is a classic. It features John Scofield, Dawilli Gonga( aka George Duke) and Doug Rauch on bass. Rauch is on the same level as Michael Henderson, listen to the tune, ''East Bay'', you'll smile from ear to ear. ECM released a live archive recording, ''Hamburg 72'' with the trio of Keith Jarrett, Charlie Haden and Paul Motian, it is perfect, in every way, sound and performance. Ogun just released 2 cd's, Blue Notes- ''Blue Notes For Johnny'' and Blue Notes- ''Blue Notes For Mongezi''. I think parts of the two recordings were on the Blue Notes boxset.John, listen to ''Can't Get My Motor To Start'' from Nick Mason's ''Fictitious Sports'' written by Carla Bley. Byron might like it too, good luck and happy motoring, guys!!

Hi Michael - I like that Cobham album a lot and I totally agree that Doug Rauch is great. Seem to remember an interview with Marcus Miller who said he was an influence. There's a nice bootleg of the Cobham-Duke band (with Al Johnson) that I like more than the official release. Hamburg 72 is beautiful. Paul Motian's niece Cindy has a great radio show and site where she digs into Motian's career and archive. Really fascinating if a bit nerdy! Very good that those Blue Notes albums are properly available again. I only saw them once but it was a bit of a life changer. Given the amount of Carla Bley that I listen to, over the years Byron (who's just over the road) has probably heard that Nick Mason track a few times. Great to see you both. The Wayne Shorter Atlantis album is indeed very rewarding. I must play my copy of the Roberta Flack album again when I return home. The Crusaders is one band that I have never checked out. Which one would you guys recommend? Both the Wayne Shorter and the Sanders are two that are never seen in these parts. Or in the VC. All the Good Times are Past & Gone sounds very interesting. Seeing Roberta Flack live at the Atlantic Records 40th Anniversary Show in NY's MSG was a highlight for me. She shared the stage with artists like Yes, Genesis, ELP, Bee Gees, CSN, Led Zeppelin, LaVern Baker, Average White Band, Sam Moore, Rufus Thomas, Wilson Pickett, Ruth Brown, Rascals, Spinners, Vanilla Fudge, Iron Butterfly, etc.. But when she performed the crowd gave her complete attention. She sounded so good. Excellent post guys. Top notch again. I am inspired to spin~ Rob/Boston

Thought I'd replied to this but obviously forgot to press the button. Tough choosing a Crusaders record. Up to the late 70s they were amazingly consistent but I'd probably go for Scratch or Southern Comfort. Also the double vinyl Best Of The Crusaders with the red cover is one of the all time great compilations imho. Great sounding and usually very cheap heat!
