Mark and John, thank you for the smiling faces and Positive vibrations, that you, two, always, project. It really restores my faith in Humanity. Camus said, ''Peace is the only battle worth waging''. I was fortunate to see Willie Dixon play live, it was in the 1980's, his performance of his song, '' It don't make sense if you can't make peace'' was fantastic, and full of simple truths. ''Chicago live in Japan'' made me wonder if there is another album titled, ''Japan live in Chicago''. Billy Cobham's drumming on Gil Evans, '' Live at the Public Theater, volumes 1 and 2'' is some of his finest drum work. Love Leon Russell, his Dylan cover songs are amongst my favorites. Frisell is becoming one of my favorite guitarists, thankfully he is not resting on his laurels. I often dream of Hendrix, Mingus and Milford Graves, playing as a trio.

Thanks Michael. We could really do with some peace. I love those Public Theater records too. There's a live Gil Evans DVD recorded around that time with Billy C and he's mostly playing his kit standing up!? Hendrix, Milford and Mingus together would probably be illegal!

I wish I was sitting right smack dap in the middle of you two, right about now. Mark, that is one of the only Chicago's I do not have. Nice find. Again, nice nice score with the Sylvester record. John, Switch is such an overlooked band in the Vinyl Community. I am pretty close to most of the DeBarge family, my closest connection is Eldra of course, but I was just at a Bobby DeBarge life celebration event about 2 months ago, and many 'guest's' got up on stage and performed Switch songs. You would have loved it. That Jim James album cover is the cousin to The Crazy World of Arthur Brown lol. It is a super great record though. The Cry Of Love - his most underrated album. Such a fantastic record. Keifer (missing an "f" lol)... another amazing installment to the Stones Throw roster for sure. McCoy Tyner "Trident"... either of you sampled that one? mark, I have always paswsed up on that Four Tops record. My father had it while I was growing up but I don't remember it vividly and it never made it into my hands when I took his collection the year he passed. Don't know what happened to it, but maybe I should pay some attention to spotting it in store. I have never seen that Bill Frissel record. So good to have you both together again. Just fantastic. Love to you both - TONE

Hi Tone - what a great bit of vibing from you - thank you! It was a great session and the first time I had seen John in over three months. it was a great surprise to find the Chicago live in Japan - and a great price paid too! I will check out McCoy Tyner's Trident - cheers!

Hi Tone - Great to hear from you and about the DeBarge connection. I've been having a bit of a binge on McCoy's 1970s albums the last few weeks and Trident is a storming record! Cheers J

Good morning Mark and John. It is great to see you back. And in the same room together. You both look well. I was talking to a fellow VC member about Terry Kath yesterday. I did not even remember seeing him playing live during the Beach Boys/Chicago 1975 Tour. Did you see Susan Tedeschi in the new John Paul Jones video? kzbin.info/www/bejne/gnmTXoqOiquMaM0 The O'Jays are definitely a band that has eluded my turntable. I am going to grab a copy of that. The only thing I really know about Blake Mills is his production of the Perfume Genius albums. I did hear some of the Pino Paladino, Steve Jordan and John Mayer album 'Try'. It swings. I really dig the cover that they do of Hendrix's 'Wait Until Tomorrow'. Pino is a fantastic bass player. con't

I heard that they released 'Excerpts from Outside'. I liked Outside overall. Not so much the artwork though. But I thought the album was highly underrated. How is the Excepts album overall and is it worth grabbing? Another McCoy Tyner that is new to me. Thanks for sharing this one. You mentioned William Fischer's album 'Circles'. Is that a jazz album, funk, jazz funk? Now that Bly De Blyant cover is definitely a discussion piece. Checking out Four Tops 'Strung Out For Your Love'. Ending with Neil, Stills, Dylan, McCoy and Frisell. Nice! This video was massively filled with excellent albums that are never shown in the VC. I thank you both again for delivering a classic VC vinyl update. Thank you Mark and John~ Rob/Boston

HI Rob! The Outside excerpts album is very nice although the prices for all the different vinyl versions have gone a bit mad. The William Fischer is a fusion album though definitely a unique sounding one. It has almost a rock feel in places. Cobham is on great form. Hope all's well with you J
