This F1 game for the Genesis, i consider this game among one of the best F1 racing ever, if not this is the best of all the best. Asuming this MSDos it's sublime, i never knew about the existence of this version. This great game now running at real 60fps along with better graphical visuals, ohh yeah !!!!

As much as I love the Genesis version I think the PC version is silky smooth and is good enough to be in an arcade cab! The speed feels faster on the PC version.

Man, 386 VGA PCs took the world by storm. No wonder Amiga couldn't compete with it. Having said that, my favourite "Vroom" version is for the Amiga (the most freaking colorful).

I find the Genesis version more appealing. The heads up display is nicer looking with easier to see speed, gear selector, throttle level, track map, position, and lap times. Also having the FIA license and real world track names like Hockenheim is a nice touch. 11:07 The Genesis version has real driver names like Schumacher and teams like Ferrari. The PC version has phony parody names like Schubacher and teams likes Mcfaren. Willy-ham instead of Williams...Clap Clap Clap.

This game was developped originally on Atari ST. For this reason, Megadrive version is so good since they share similar hardware.

This F1 for the Genesis is probably the best F1 game for the console, even better than Virtura Racing, and it doesn't even need the special chip inside the cartridge. Amazing how Genesis could handle basic 3d graphics at the time.

Nah, it feels too lifeless and too serious. Super Monaco Grand Prix 1 and 2 had more passion put into them, and are definitely the best F1 games on this console.

@deansatan9573 The SA1 chip, wich is basically the same processor as the one inside the Snes could do fairly well. So i think speed and framerate in this early 3d games was more limited by the CPU clock frequency. And generally PC´s had the advantage there with higher clock rates than the consoles from the time.

@deansatan9573 I see this debate all the time, usually by way of comparing clock speeds, register sizes and bus widths; whilst the 68000 was indeed faster, it really wasn't by as much as people made out. What is more interesting to me is there were much faster versions of the 68000 in 1988 than the one the Mega Drive ended up with, so perhaps cost was a major factor in why we got that particular variant.

Hello, I imagine that today if the SNES benefited from the same advanced development tools as the Mega Drive we could obtain a conversion of the game close to the quality of the PC demonstrated here. A cartridge production integrating an FPGA element would today offer the console the reinforcement necessary for any 3D calculation.
