It's implied that they all have been lubed. He remembered the Milwaukee was new, and said "we need to lube this because it's new". The only reason they included that at all in the video was because it makes for a more climactic conclusion.

I'm a Milwaukee "red til' dead" guy, but I don't think the final test with that Milwaukee should have been counted, because it was outperformed by the Hilti before the bit was lubricated. Hilti beat out the Milwaukee by seven seconds with an unlubricated bit, I think if you tested the Hilti after lubricating the bit, the end results may have been different. Either way, awesome video, i always love it when Milwaukee is on top!

Completely agree. VCG guys are usually biased, so we know what to expect. Can't blame them, honestly, I'm sure Milwalkee pays lots of bills for those guys and everyone should earn a living. Anyway, in Europe, Hilti is way more available, but is still quite pricey. They are regarded as the Rolls Royce of power tools.

as someone living in italy i can tell you that MIlwaukee has been invading jobsites quite strongly during the past couple years, i've seen electricians, plumbers and construction workers consistently bringing to the jobsite hilti AND milwaukee, and some of those guys told me they're thinking about switching totally to Milwaukee. Hilti has met some disapproval after launching their new battery system which isn't retro compatible with all the other tools they had, and the prices are just out of this world, for the same price as a hilti high ah battery you can literally get a milwaukee m18 rotary hammer kit with batteries included. If the warranty works and the tools keep working then i don't see any reason why they shouldn't beat Hilti.

Hilti (I had a network one) after six months it works very very poorly when contacting the service they say that’s how it works.... devolt (also networked) you need to apply a lot of force to drill into the ceiling. I use Bosch 2-28 From Milwaukee I have a screwdriver, an impactor, an angle grinder, 12 volts. I CHANGED THE CHARGER TO 230 VOLTS. I’ll also buy a 12V cordless hammer drill and a jigsaw. yeah but he does mention it being new before lubricating so I think the others had previously been lubed.. yes , yes I know more lubrication or less lubrication will make a difference however in these test there are way more variables than the lubrication. point to take is they are all pretty similar and in the end you will stay with the battery system you currently have plus between the Hilti and new Milwaukee is what like 1 or 2 seconds difference after the said lubrication? so if you have 60 or 120 holes to drill you will delay your work by 1 to 4 minutes on an 8+hrs shift. Vince is not the guy for accurate and repeatable tool reviews but he says what he thinks and often goes with gut feeling which in the ends it all comes down to. He likes Milwaukee, I like DeWalt... I know what to expect when watching his videos and still enjoy them. If you want more precise and repeatable tool reviews you should check out "project farm" if you don't already know this channel.

@@arnaultfaverjondufort6804 problem is you don't need to lubricate when sds rotary hammers come from the factory, so the lube was simply to get better results for the brand he shills. Doesn't matter if it was new or used for a while, he should have done all lubed or none lubed.

A dedicated vacuum system, certified HEPA with filter banger cycle, only around $1500 with the drill bits around $250 each. lol Pulling your bit out of a squeaky clean drill hole is really useful if the next thing you need to do is inject epoxy or something where you need it clean.

I’m an electrical mechanic and we drill large diameter holes nearly daily. Most of us use Bosch bulldogs, chorded ones. The older 20 y/o models of them are all still kickin strong and work better than the new stuff coming out today. Those Hilti “Machos” are what we use when we need to make holes larger than an inch as well, all chorded. I do use a chordless Bosch bulldog as my daily driver when I only need to make a few holes though and it’s been great, as well as affordable. $175 for the kit with case, batteries, and charger. I currently have the new m18 Milwaukee rotary hammer(without the dust extraction)... and it smokes them both. Faster, more powerful and you aren't tethered to the wall. I only run it on 12ah batteries, best power and all day run time. The newest Cordless tools are now officially more powerful than Corded, across the board...Miwaukee, Hilti, even Dewalt.

I have owned a 1-1/8" Bosch (newer none D handle style with vac which ran off of the drill battery so no need for a dedicated battery), the last-gen 1-1/8" Milwaukee & just bought the new Milwaukee 1-1/8" (bought both drill & vac attachment bare tool & saved a lot). The Bosch easily beats the last-gen Milwaukee but that new-gen Milwaukee edges out the Bosch. That said, the new Milwaukee is so much larger/bulkier & heavier than the Bosch while both coming in at the same price point. All in all, I still prefer my old Bosch overall but I am happy with the performance of my new Milwaukee.

@@cuebj agreed if you're making money with these tools then price takes 2nd place. What you consider the most is drilling speed, reliability, build quality and if it's battery powered how long does it drill with a single battery. Generally Bosch is well regarded in all these aspects, it's just an old tool and there are newer, more powerful tools in their lineup that still undercut the red ones. Btw, Made in Germany

Bosch definitely did not loose by a landslide , if you take itn consideration for greasing up the bit LoL , and maybe 10 seconds more per hole , not much difference , plus I bet Bosch would not likely have to be sent in for repair as much as some of those more expensive competitors. I've been extremely happy with my decades old corded bulldog that has made me money , All that being said , it's always a pleasure to watch the comparison videos 👌 I actually ust bought the cordless bulldog version , but have yet to try it.

@brianb1179 and the Bosch Bulldog used in this video is hitting with about half the impact energy that this brand new Milwaukee is hitting with. But the Bosch was just 4 seconds slower. Bosch does have a 1-1/4" model that has a similar dust collection system to that Milwaukee. That would probably run rings around that Milwaukee hammer.

I try to always stay within their capacity. The HILTIs are my favorite. Smooth and so well built. The other drills perform well. I like the Metabo 2nd. The M12 rotary hammer is super nice for small holes 1/4” and 5/16”. I’m obviously a drill nut. I like being prepared for any job and do NOT plan on buying any more drills. I feel like this test only gives a small glimpse on what tool or what brand stacks up to another Real tests need to be given to a work crew and used on continuous duty. Comfort, battery power, ease of use make a big deciding factor. Would have been nice to toss the flex SDS plus in the mix with the stacked lithium because it has batteries that deliver a faster discharge rate “C Rating” A real work crew is what is needed for rotary hammers.

So this was a pretty good video. But there are some opportunities like, why not throw up the pricing(because the Bosch would have won by a mile and this always seems to be a red show, sadly) secondly why does the vacuum guy hold the vacuum great for all but the Bosch(only one that there is tons of blow back stacked up, not saying it would change a ton but every other drill had great vacuuming) and last what everyone else is saying some more brands would have been good. This is such an odd choice of drills since you have some that have just hit the market and some that are about 5 years old. Not a very good apples to apples comparison unfortunately. Just would like to see better comparisons that are truly fair vs just making content for people to argue brand loyalty over.

However it’s always amazing to me how everyone thinks that the most powerful(who cares about the cost) is the best when it’s actually about value(unless your working for the state, or have a boss that’s a color fanatic) But I would also throw in there, why is he running such a big bit when 90% of people would be running an SDS Max bit in this situation.

How much deviation could there be because of: using the same bit for all tests (instead of 4 new bits)? And using concrete armoured with round bars (and no lining up of the machines)? Maybe you can use concrete Armoured with steel plates? But I really enjoyed your video. Great indicator for DIY 🇩🇪👍🏻 For Pros the „user wear“ (vibration) would be great to know. Pros will decide depending on the service: if a brand replaces your machine on site in 1-2 hrs a couple of €$ more or less for buying don‘t matter…

Awesome videa, love the dedication drilling a hole for over an hour garnered my respect but also made me apreciate my Bosch SDS max corded concrete drill. Dont think i would use battery powered drills unless it was a side wall penetrarion. But nice to see where they have come!

It really doesn't matter who won you guys. All of them are great SDS hammer drills. They all did the task with flying colors. Loved this versus video Vince. Great Video.

Bada Bing Bada Boom….. I’ve always wanted to say that in a comment 😎. I have the 1 inch Dewalt Dch133. Biggest holes I drill are 1/2 inch for rebar. Love that thing. Loved the video VCG. Way to go stress testing with the 1 inch bit Vince💪.

Hello, I really like your videos, I have the same Bosch GBH 18 volt 26D bulldog, it seems to me an excellent machine, I bought it on December 31, 2021, it was my gift that year, but here in Chile they sell it in cardboard without a battery and without a charger, the battery and the charger I was only able to buy three weeks ago this year here in Chile the 8 amp battery is very expensive and I used it for electrical work, I thought it was extraordinary, now I need to buy a transport case and I wrote to him to Bosch from Chile to find out which case is useful for my equipment, I think that all these tools are expensive and in the case of Bosch I think they should sell it in a transport case, not in a cardboard box... Bosch has not answered anything ... I think that Bosch should sell his tools with a suitcase or a bag, I take advantage of your channel that I have been following for a long time to make this claim since all tool fans watch your channel.... cordial greetings from Santiago de Chile.....

They are all pretty good. Tools. Was "gifted" a Hilti because of the amount of fire blocking and foam supplies we buy. We have about a hundred installers. We are all fanboys. Hilti outlast the all. Bosch hammer drill fanboy stating facts.

How can this be a fair comparison when you’re using the same drillbit which obviously gets more blunt each time that you use it

Use a Hilti TE-CX (SDS +) drill bit with the Hilti rotary hammer and you’ll see even better performance. Hilti’s rotary drill bits are stellar.

There are many tools that could've been upgraded. Bosch also has newer tools but they chose a 4 yr old tool. At least that DeWalt is newish

On the Hilti the suction is through the drill bit, they have special drill bits that you connect via an attachment to your extractor. The Milwaukee was only the best performer because you lubricated the bit, you should have retried the Hilti with a lubricated bit

I had a plug in hilti from the mid nineties. Fastest rpm drill I’ve ever used, no clutch, you hit something, either the bit, your wrist, or your skull got broken

As someone who worked construction for most of my life the concrete hammer drills most contractors swear by is the Bosch and to a bit lesser degree the Hilti . The Hilti was tops but maybe it was a bit expensive but I felt was top quality and priced very high . I thinkl I might go with either one if I was the boss and not a common laborer LOL

I missed the "not going through the rebar though" so had to backtrack. I'd have liked to see them hit the rebar dead on, but that may have more to do with the bit than the drill. Nice run down! 👍🏻
