I work at a Honda manufacturing warehouse and we have Makitas everywhere I’m definitely going in tomorrow and change all of them and see how long it takes for people to freak out about it. This is going to be great.

How did it go?
@Whateveryouwannacallme4 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately only like 6 people noticed because it’s so loud and the chargers are old and covered with years of dust so it’s not that loud but my team leader has one at his desk and was trying to figure out why it kept playing songs and when I told him how to do it he went to other areas and did it to them. But it was still pretty entertaining. And I did it for my makitas at home and my double battery dock is so loud I hear it across my house when my batteries are charged. Hahaha

I read this in the manual of my very first Lithiun Ion Makita charger years ago. What is good fun is changing your mates charger tune without them knowing and watching the look of confusion on their face when they charge a battery.

Probably already done somewhere but... after the two "beeps" 1- Beethoven's "Fur Elise" 2- Boccherini's "String Quintet in E Major, Op.11 No.5" 3- Mozart's "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" 4- Baseball tune No 2 definitely my favourite. :)

No 2 is "Minuetto", 3rd movement from String Quintet in E major, Op. 11, No. 5 by Luigi Boccherini. Just in case you want that surgical precision. 😉

When I saw this the other day, I thought, "big deal, so what?" I never even knew my charger beeped, let alone did tunes. I tried it, and it works and is very handy, to be fair. Eating my tea the other night ( aka evening meal to you Americans and Londoners, lol), and a tune started playing, took me a few seconds to realise what it was. It is a great tip to stop me from forgetting to unplug the charger when it is out of sight and not noticing the green light. A good tip that man. cheers old boy.

Thanks not only informative but entertaining as well. I've heard other people's chargers play a tune but to be honest I never even wondered why mine only beeped , I guess I just assumed they had a slightly higher value charger than I. Now that I know , I like the baseball tune. I played softball as a teen for a church group for years, I really miss those days.👍👍👍 But to be really honest when I read your title , I went to a more covert operations thinking there was a hidden communications or listening feature...😎

The reason they use classical music is that the copyright has expired on each of the works! Classic, though! It's a great idea where you're working alongside others, you'll know when YOUR battery is charged by the different tune.

I recently bought a new charger. I see the music sign on the panel but my charger never played beep on insert or music after battery is fully charged. And mine was set at silent by default from factory 😃. Thanks for saving my time and hassle of returning.

That tune is Eine kleine Nachtmusik[a] (Serenade No. 13 for strings in G major), K. 525, is a 1787 composition for a chamber ensemble by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The German title means "a little serenade", though it is often rendered more literally as "a little night music".[
