Thanks for the additional detail. As I mentioned, I don't have a blu-ray player (yet) but I have a friend who has one. I'll ask if we can check it out that way, even if just to see if it will play on an American blu-ray player. I'm looking forward to seeing it, and I'm LOVING all the other treats that you sent. Just my thoughts about the VC too Rob , people give each other stuff just because they "like" it !! I have the gatefold version of Live as well as the single sleeve version ,its a great thing to have, really nice photos - John

Hey Rob, hope you're enjoying the weekend so far. Just wanted to let you know I've listened to the Ultravox LPs I picked up and really dig them. I'm going to be picking up more of their stuff thanks to you. I was wondering if you could suggest other artists in the same genre that I might like? I wanted to mention a band I've been listening to this week, been listening to them since the 90s and they are called The Skydiggers. I think you'd like them.Cheers-Geoff

I really should get that into the details below the video. The music in the background is by a band called Kiln, from an album called Dusker. I don't think it was ever released on vinyl. They are (were?) on the Ghostly International label. I really love their music too.

Hi Rob - regarding your thoughts on sending out VCLT whether you receive from the same person or not; I think along those lines somewhat as well. You were very generous sending me some great music and I really appreciate it. I've been able to send out things 4 or 5 times now and I ask for nothing in return. Its a wonderful experience both sending and receiving music from other members of the VC. _Marty

I don't have Blu-Ray myself, but I guess there are more records coming out on Blu-Ray; XTC's "Nonsuch" is going to come out that way first, and then reissued vinyl I guess, according to Andy Partridge's Twitter.

I've heard that. I suppose I'll end up with a Blu-ray player in the system at some point. Right now, it's all purely 2-channel and purely analog, although I do have a Denon CD player in the rack. If I got a Blu-ray player, I would also want to have a screen in the music room, so we're talking complete reconfiguration. I'm not sure I'm that motivated. Yet. ;-)

Hello Rob, my musical tastes are anything, except metal. This week my listening pile of recent purchases include a box of 7" singles mostly 80's and a stack of 10" lp's from the 50's big band/orchestra, some Prog and a nice copy of the Pioneers - Long Shot LP on the Trojan label. Have not started buying this week and there's a record fair to look forward to on the weekend. Vinyl junkies work is never done. If I find anything that I think may interest you I'll let you know. I'm gonna find something cool to send you, my friend! It might not be right away, but I'll cogitate on it and see what comes to mind. The original pressings of HOL were also marbled, so that might be an option if I can find one. I'm not going to rush it, though. I'd rather send you something you'll really like. It breaks my heart to think about The Single File, too. I sold it at a time, though, when I had to sell music to afford new music. It didn't seem so painful then as it does now!
