Hi Daniel-I commented about 1 month ago on one of your Collab Crush vids (I think it was CAC) and mentioned I had an interview with Cisco the next day for a TAC Tier 2/3 guy. I did pretty well in the WebEx interview and your vids helped. Anyway-they were all like "yeah you did pretty good, so we are going to move you forward in the process-you'll interview next with my manager and if all goes well, we'll bring you on." Then the next day the recruiter called and said "Cisco doesn't think you have the depth they need for this position." So, I was lied to by Cisco. But, I kinda understand. The guys (Chris and Jonas) that did the interview were about the age of my grandson. (I am 64). When I was Chris's age I wouldn't have wanted an old fart on my team. I just wish they hadn't lied to me. I've been retired for 2 years and don't really need the money. Maybe time to just move on to something else Anyway-you do a great job on these vids and good luck to you in the future.

Sorry to hear about that. I've also had some very mixed signals from interviews--one was just this last spring! Just curious - was your interview for WebEx training?

@@CollabCrush No I'm a voice guy basically-(old TDM/buttset:)-but made the move to UC/CUCM circa 2010. What I am noticing is companies want a router/switch guy that can do voice and pay him at the same hourly rate as a voice guy. Looks like I got out just in time. I think they did me a favor-am now looking at buying a dump truck and delivering gravel. I don't want to kiss any more bosses a$$ just because they're the boss like I did for nearly 50 years.

Hey, Great video! Would you happen to have a video on how to configure the Expressway-E / C - Proxy Registrations to Expressway-C? We have this environment with our room regs on Expressway-C but we just cannot seem to get external systems to register as the Expressway-E will not proxy these.

This is what I was looking for…none of the certification videos go in to the basics of VCS/ Expressway…..would love to see a simile series on Cisco Meeting server - CMS…. Edit: just checked u already have one going…would love to see a video on how you go about studying for a particular product….would love to see the method behind the madness….

Thank you for your comment. My videos will give you a good foundation for 300-820, but the videos alone are not enough to pass. So here's what I would do if I were you --- The official cert guide for 300-820 is almost finished and will probably be available some time this summer, so that'll be a good resource for you as well. However, even with the book and the videos, but you will still need to lab... A LOT! So this is what I would do -- For now, watch the videos until you know them very, very well... use the videos as a foundation, a starting point. Then, when the book comes out this summer, read it and study it as much as possible... know it front to back. While you're waiting for the book, lab as much as possible. If you don't have access to a lab, figure out how to get access because you're going to have a very difficult time passing the test without sufficient lab time. And if you're like me, you'll probably take the test and fail it once or twice before you finally pass. Either way, good luck!

One other point I'd like to make is that, if you watch the videos and learn from them as much as you can, It'll be a lot easier for you to understand the Expressway portions of the official cert guide. (I'm one of the technical editors working on it, so I can assure you this is the case!) Good luck!
