My experience with game wardens, 2 in my case. They charged me, then filled in details that were not true. One warden bold face lied to the magistrate. I then asked the magistrate if the warden was under oath. He informed me that my case was not a felony charge and that the "truth" is whatever the officer states it is. It was one of the most frustrating events of my entire life. I ended up paying about 2,000 in fines and lost hunting rights for a year. I learned that a badge means nothing. If only i had been recording that day. I could have shown the world a lying no good officer. Instead, its only he and I that know what really happened that day. Also, one of the wardens were on their "first" day of training.

Coyote hunters actually do use similar calls that turkey hunters use. This conservation officer made a lot of assumptions which seems a little surprising. I would say for every poacher you catch there are 100 you don't catch. It seems the only time game wardens or conservation officers ever do any checking anymore is when a private citizens makes a report of illegal activity. Did the DWR figure out why this poacher was killing all these turkeys? Was he eating them...or just bragging about them? This poacher was pretty dumb...especially when he knew they suspected him of poaching....not a typical poacher. Poaching has become much easier to get away with in this day and age...cell phones...night vision...suppressors...etc. etc..

They should limit these interviews to no more than 30 minutes. The punishment was not enough. He should have been banned for life for the second, third and fourth violations, and I am in Virginia. Notice they did not do what they do with the other confiscated guns. The VDWR cuts them in half, then they go to the annual hunting show and display a box of cut up guns. Instead they should sell them at auction to Federal Firearms dealers and use the money to help fund the agency. That is the dumbest thing we have ever seen since a kid can take his dad's multiple thousand dollar gun, violate the law, and have the gun cut in half after confiscation. And if the criminal is a minor, well then nothing is done to them.

I Wouldn’t Think This CO Needs a Vest On While Doing a Podcast Video. It doesn’t make Him Anymore Fearsome.

.308 is an odd choice for turkey, it’s more suited for deer, but definitely not a sniper rifle. And the cop had a deer mount over his shoulder.

most places its only legal to hunt during the day or up to 1/2 hour before and after sunset. only exceptions here are raccoon and bobcats

Coyotes are most active during the very early mourning hours or at night . Coyotes are not that active during the day . At least around North West Florida . People around here have murdered all the turkeys .

Unbelievable how much censorship there is on youtube... how are things supposed to get better if we can't talk?

Growing up rural we hunted all year. Wasn’t unusual to see game hanging in the barn. Nothing wasted. No trophy hunts.

I would bet my dad poached turkeys in your state, i would say he did all through the 90s, yall couldnt catch a traveling salesman, he hunted all over the eastern US, he would have gone broke just buying hunting licenses in all the states he hunted. He just made friends with old hunters everywhere, they would drop him off and pick him up, those old guys loved it
