Ya'll! I am SO EXCITED!! My VDS Undyed A6 Planner has arrived after a long, well worth it, wait! I am sooo so happy with it & cannot wait to watch her get lots of character over time & patina!

Specs of my planner:
Van Der Spek (VDS Shop).
Senior (A6)- I did NOT get it widened as I like everything flush to the edge.
25 mm silver rings.
Janet leather undyed.
I left all the original pocket configurations inside the same, no changes.
I added the large back pocket on.
I upgraded the clasp to be chunkier.
I did not get stiffener.

It is so pretty! Can't wait to see it age :) I feel like many people on Instagram etc. baby their undyed Van Der Speks. I think I never really saw one with marks and tan to it, so it will be quite interesting to see ^^ Side note: The Senior size actually is not true A6. It's a bit narrower. But they offer a "Widening to A6" option on the custom made page which adds 1.5 mm on each side I think. But you can fit A6 sheets in the unwidened cover, there's just less space for side tabs. I actually also reeaally like the unwidened with it's narrower appearance. The "widened to A6" often looks a bit too square for my taste. I also really like that there's not as much extra leather on the left and right. The inserts don't look so small in there ^^

And thanks for telling me, I actually just realized this last night after I already uploaded this video I happened to see the option to “widen to a6” when I went back on the VDS site to look at something. But now since you told me that makes total sense, so thank you so much! :) I’m so happy I did not get it widened as I love everything flush to the edge :) it’s just perfect I love it!

YESSS! Treat yourself. I did the same and bought the VDS A5 in early April. I probably wont get mine until June or July. Counting down the days. Btw, I know what you mean about shipping. I ordered something from Florida and it took almost 2 weeks to get here. Enjoy your planner!

I get the excitement.i ordered a touched in the a6 and love it so much I decided to do 2 customs.one is the b6 and the other is an a5 managerial.i can't wait and just last week I got an email saying its in preproduction but not sure if that means just the first one b6,or both.i can't wait either...lol

@@planwithbee5846 I have another youtuber who likes planners and she told me about smartfee leather planners.simular yo Van der speck and moterm but for way less.i got 2 pocket and personal size gor what I would pay for moterm and one is in the ostrich leather.check it out.i believe she bought hers off Amazon like me but said that aliexpress sells them but if I'm correct only 2 sizes right now.just thought you might want to know.

Congratulations. I like you have had many in my cart and not pulled the trigger I just feel like it’s not my time but it will be once I figure out what size I’m gonna go for it. What are your thoughts on the eighth five versus like the Franklin Covey compact size that’s kind of what I’m going back-and-forth between.

Thank you! So I’m not sure what “eighth five” is unless you mean like A5? That’s what it sounds closest to hahaha. I have used them both in the past. A5 was waaaaay to big for me but that’s because I write small & I like to carry my planner with me so I come up with ways to be able to do so in a smaller space. The fcc is a nice size! I used to use that size and I liked it, but I always go back to smaller sizes hahaha. So I suppose it would come down to if you need all the space an A5 offers and if you carry it around with you. Which have you enjoyed using the most that really helped you with your planning? 🥰

Thank you for sharing. I just ordered and I too for years went back and forth between gillio and vds. But I just got an email back from Petra saying that the senior is not a true A6. I did get 30mm gold rings. But every video I watch say they got the senior . Help what did I do wrong in ordering? TIA

Hi! Was it an A6 size you wanted? Do the senior from VDS fits A6 inserts. For example my VDS is a senior and I use it for my A6 inserts. However, you can (it shows this when you place order) get it slightly widened to “true A6”. I personally don’t like all the extra leather when a planner is widened, I like my inserts and tabs to fit snug in my planner. So the senior size will certainly fit A6 inserts! :) but if you want a true a6 size which is just a little wider and also fits a6 inserts then you have to pay to upgrade that when you order. I did not do that. Hope this helps!
