VDV 2 PRO Trend Networks TDR Lan Cable Tester

I bought VDV 2 Pro tester. This cable tester has very fast TDR, faster than Fluke Cable Iq, Fluke Microscanner 2, and Kurt Electronics Ke 7100. The tone generator can be used on all 8 wires, on pairs, or oven on stan alone wires. There are 4 Analog and 4 digital tone modes. Wiremap Graph could be better, But it is easy to read and very fast. It shows cable length even if on the far side of the cable there is an active, or powered-off switch - a fantastic feature.
A coax test should be used on disconnecting from the spider cable. It has velocity settings for Phone, coaxes, and data ports.
When the tester powered off settings are still saved.

Will you still prefer VDV ii pro vs fluke microscanner 2. i cannot decide. I will use it mostly to find faults and testing length.

Yes. VDV 2 pro is better. Faster more accurate TDR, Cheaper. Has more modes - for example trace all pins, trace pairs, trace single wire in cable. Shows cable length even if another end of cable connected to swich. If you must find faults on disconnected cable - best wiremap is from Kurt electronics Ke71000. But control is a bit clunky.

How does it compare to the Fluke MicroScanner 2?

In my opinion its better then Microscaner 2. Its faster and i wuold say more accurate.

@@VideoBite I see. What about the MicroScanner PoE? My work vendor supplies Fluke and not VDV.

Never had Fluke POE. I would not compare Fluke to VDV pro, i would Compare it to Trend networks POE PRO. And i think Trend network POE pro is far better choice. Personally for work we have NAVITEK IE - PROFINET TESTER. With that you can test profinet network, POE, have network scanning ability, color LCD where actually there is color wiremap. Fluke testers are good but in this time by far not the best option in my opinion.

Klein Scout Pro 3 is not TDR meter, its similiar accuracy as any Noyafa meter made in China. From what I see it has a worse wire map graph. So yea this one is way better.
