Tuticorin from 8th century , looks awesome 👍👍vettuvan kovil, nice beautiful scenery with beautiful walls 25 ft deep 👍👍 sitting idol was done beautifully, such craftsmanship ❤️ Rock carving is awesome 🙌💕 kovil vasal has some echos made with one rock . Pandiyan king was responsible for this. Great information & upload. So much carvings inside as well. Don’t know how they did it. You guys want to stay there after visiting it... sirpigal & king & creator should be in same understanding only then these symbols can be created. Good to know about these amazing artifacts in our Tamilnadu 🙌🙌love it . Vettuvan name came from vaan from one Rock that is how the name came to existence, great upload guys , super ✌️

Prototype ,miniature for கைலாசம் temple at ellora caves, but I very belive in experts subject to Archeologists. No evidence for Pandiyans except the board kept in the permiss. The locals too denied that statement for Pandiyans. Try to give the facts, don't browse the tip of the grass and give fake news. Work hard to reveal the truth or else your will be one among the 11 just cooking up. Take care

Yes, Koon Pandiyan workshipped Jainism.. But, this is not Jain temple.. Koon Pandiya ruled CE 640-670 6th century But this temple architecture constructed 8th century.. The vimana (ceiling over the sanctum) has niches of Parsavadevatas, the attendant deities of Shiva, like ganas, Dakshinamurthy depicted playing a mridanga, Siva with his consort Uma, dancers, various niches of Nandi (the sacred bull of Shiva) and animals like monkeys and lions. Historian Sivaramamurti states that this is the only site where Dakshinamurthy is depicted playing the Mridanga (a percussion instrument), while in all other places, he is depicted playing Veena. According to epigrapher V. Vedachalam, there is a spontaneity in the sculptures indicating of natural human movements like in the Shiva and Uma sculpture where they seem to be talking like common folks.The Vettuvan Koil is an unfinished Shiva temple.
