I know I'm late to try to do this, but can you tell me what size paper you used? Is the page perfectly square like 8 in or 14 in etc?

Hi, I just felt like offering some support with this if it's of any help to you. Your paper does not need to be square at the outset as you can cut it to size afterwards. I would use A3 for this complex design and make the radius of the compass about 6 cm, maybe up to 9 cm you can go a bit larger. These sizes in diameter would fit onto A3. Most radius sizes are dictated by your compass anyway. You may already know this by now so my apology if it's info that's come too late. I've only recently started drawing mandalas on A4 paper. I sometimes go smaller because a mini mandala can be finished in one sitting and is also relaxing to do. A3 can add up to weeks of work if applying detailed patterns and colour. 😊
