Questions for G1 continuity: (A) if Sigma Vector was used by the Quintessons to create the entire Cybertronian race, how come so many Transformers have never seen or heard of it? It should have been the first thing they saw after being activated. (B) If the Quintessons built the supercomputer, are there other working models out there?

The answer to your questions is simple. Vector Sigma was built by the Primes, not by the Quintessons. As a result, Vector Sigma is a one of a kind supercomputer, and is why Optimus Prime has it in his possession the entire time of G1, until it ends up in Rodimus Prime's possession.

It could be that in the G1 continuity Vector Sigma was actually the brain of Primus. The Quintessons probably took advantage of a dormant Primus when they discovered Cybertron.
