Great tutorial. Nicely done. :) One thing that helps in selecting geometry when another one is in the way: just hover your mouse over it and click and hold the left mouse button. You'll get a menu of all geometry under the mouse cursor so you can select the one you're looking for. Easier than turning body/component visibility on and off all the time.

Would you not want to put a slight offset between the size of the base and the top. I expect that you're going to have some trouble inserting the base into the case top.

It's under the INSPECT menu at the top.
