One Project: One Day - with Fusion 360 and a 3D Printer

#sponsored In this 3D Printing project video I try to start and complete a project in one day using a 3D Printer and fusion 360. I started the day needing to have a video completed by the end, so I sat down and started this full project with just about 12 hours until completion. I used sketching to concept quickly, Fusion 360 (free 3D design software for hobbyists) to model my design, Prusa slicer to create the G code, and Lotmaxx SC-10 to print the final parts.

Time constraints. I think I did the entire design of sketch to STL in about 65 minutes 😅 But yes, when you have the time and want to be more careful there are plenty of tips I suggest following.

Whenever i have to model in a nut hole, I think of how I would orientate the print and point a nut corner at the top and bottom, so that I have two 60° angles as overhang instead of a bridge and two 30° angles. That seems to work better for me especially with petg.

Fascinating to watch you go through the process. I'm thinking a ball and socket with a threaded collar would give you more axis of movement while still allowing for quick repositioning of the camera.

Damn you seem to be able to model something in 5 minutes a lot better than I can in an hour haha I'll stick to basic things in Fusion for now

I've been doing design in cad for around 8 years so speed has come with loads of practice.

How big did you make the hole (16.5) relative to the actual size of the tubing?

Designspark mechanical, aka Spaceclaim lite, is only able to direct model. Fusion can do direct and parametric. I've used both extensively for many years, I was an expert spaceclaim user when Fusion wasn't even yet called fusion, and as much as I appreciate Spaceclaims brilliant direct modelling before anyone else was even taking it seriously I find your claim completely bogus.

Vector 3D i Maybe the screw in the feeder arm is to tight. You Got a monday or friday edition 😆. I have used mine ewery Day for 4 month now without issues
