Thank you, I had a set of EL Range bino’s and wasn’t happy with the rangefinder. Your review confirms my suspicions and is steering back toward the Leicas
@ocabjАй бұрын
It's my understanding that the Leica Geovid Pro is still slow to range and cycle display readouts. No one I know has one because of that. Not sure why the EL Range wasn't good for you. The rangefinder on my EL Range TA 10x42 is quite good. Accurate and quick.

Thanks for sharing! Been looking at binos now that I'm getting into precision shooting (mostly precision gas gun) and was considering these and the Sig Kilo 10k Gen 2's.
@ocabjАй бұрын
I haven't had real time behind the 10K Gen 2. But if you have an NRA Instructor certification, the discounted price on a 10K Gen 2 is significant enough to warrant going that route.

Hi Jonathan, I see my comment was removed about the 1m laser. Have you had an opportunity to use them at any kind of distance? Mine wouldnt reach 1300 yards yesterday while my SIGs were easily pinging the same targets past 2500 yards. Mine are labeled as 1m laser but ive been questioning support as to whether mine are mislabeled also as the performance is much more like the class 1 for europe. Just curious. Mine so far suck! Time will tell if customer service will do anything about it. About a 4 to 5 day delay in communication with support.

I can hit trees out to 2700 yards. No real issues trying range anything of decent reflectivity in the 2000 yard distances.
@Coldbore375-lp6gjАй бұрын
@@ocabj I was able to hit a shop building at about 3100 but wouldnt range the trees next to it. Support claims the performance should equal or exceed the SIGs but not even close. Im seriously wondering in their attempt to get them to the market if maybe quality control in Slovakia was a bit lacking and the stickers got mixed up a little.

The wait on these was atrocious, I saw Area 419 had re-stocked and got on the phone with Mile High and wouldn't you know they said mine were shipping out today. We'll see if I keep my Terrapin with these in hand...

Hi Jonathan, Great video, thank you! Regarding the range enhancers (well designed) normally should not affect the optical quality, think that a spotting scope work (more or less) like that. Regarding the laser class of Vector X I have read your article on you blog and in the pictures I have seen "CLASS 1 LASER... ". Question: for US should not be Class 1M (class 1 is only for europe)?? Thanks
@ocabjАй бұрын
Good question and observation. I didn't realize the labeling for Class 1 as opposed to 1M. I'll have to reach out to them about this.

@@ocabj Ive been using these for a while side by side with gen 1 kilo 10k. They cant begin to perform with my SIGs. Ive reached out to Vectronix about the fact they perform exactly as they should for class 1 laser. They are supposed to be class 1M which is far better performance. They insist they should perform along side the SIGs but insisting is as far as they have gone. They also have some electronic issues which they say they will be pushing a fix for soon. They told me this morning that due to a change in the lens coating on the power enhancers they will be shipping another 6 weeks out. The glass quality is very good but as far as the rest of the package so far im unimpressed. Mine also will revert to night vision mode occasionally and will make you think they are not powering up as you cant see the reticule. Im going to do a full review once i get all the parts to the system and can fully test them but so far side by side comparison with SIG kilo10k isnt boding well for them.
@ocabjАй бұрын
It's just a mislabeling. Support confirmed the 1M laser based on serial.

I’ve been waiting for objective opinions and reviews on these. Like many I’ve attempted my best to do my due diligence before investing 3k$ and came across the horror stories about customer service which has kept me on the fence and now with this blue tint I’m leaning further away. Thank you for your feedback
@ocabjАй бұрын
@@mrcbrrr7484 You’ll have to look at it yourself sometime. It’s very slight and you’re only going to really notice it if you look through the barrels independently. But as an EL Range TA and NL Pure owner, I respect wanting the best glass possible.
@JamesReedyАй бұрын
Brother you're not birdwatching thru them, you're getting a class leading compliment of ranging functionality, ballistic computing and low beam divergence.

@@JamesReedy my point exactly, for the money I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect perfection . I’m also not unreasonable and understand that often times there will be pros and cons but again for 3k I expect near perfection and from a company that is supposed to be a “leader” in the field of laser range finding technology I don’t think it’s unreasonable to demand more if they want our business
@JamesReedyАй бұрын
@ I suppose it a balance of qualities, it apparently has the best HUD running and so maybe some sacrifice there on the color rendering quality on one of the two lenses is the cost for that. You can get better optical quality from maybe the likes of Swarovski or Leica (more expensive by nearly $1000), but they’re going to have poorer HUD or ranging performance. We’ll see, I’m excited to get them. If they’re solid I’ll prob dump my Terrapin-X. I still need to dump my Lab Radar too, the Garmin unit is just too convenient.
@mrcbrrr7484Ай бұрын
@@JamesReedy yes the garmin is great and I have no complaints. I look forward to your feedback on the vector x. I watched Greg’s video from primal rights and he recounted his experience with the terrapin x which is now an expensive paperweight and vectronix refuses to fix it. Hopefully I can look through a set one day soon
