Swami Nischalananda Saraswati offers a profound framework for understanding the nature of consciousness through seven stages. Here's an expanded explanation of each stage: ### 1. The World Outside **Description:** This stage involves the perception of the external world through our senses. It is the most basic and immediate experience of consciousness, where we interact with our surroundings. **Key Points:** - **Sensory Perception:** Engaging with the world via sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell. - **External Focus:** Attention is directed outward towards the objects and events in the environment. - **Surface Awareness:** Limited to the physical and superficial aspects of existence. ### 2. Panchabhoota (The Five Elements) **Description:** This stage recognizes the foundational elements that make up the material world: earth, water, fire, air, and ether. **Key Points:** - **Elemental Awareness:** Understanding the basic building blocks of the physical universe. - **Interconnectedness:** Seeing how these elements combine and interact to form everything in existence. - **Energetic Basis:** Acknowledging that these elements also have energetic properties that influence our perception and experience. ### 3. Mayabilaasa (The Play of Consciousness) **Description:** At this stage, consciousness is seen as a dynamic and playful force, creating the illusion (maya) of reality. **Key Points:** - **Illusory Nature:** The world is understood as a manifestation of consciousness, full of relativity, uncertainty, incompleteness, inconsistency, paradoxes, and unknowability. - **Playfulness:** The idea that consciousness is engaged in a divine play (lila), creating and dissolving realities. - **Philosophical Insight:** Aligns with concepts in modern physics and philosophy about the nature of reality and knowledge. ### 4. Chidbilaasa (Kashmir Shaivism - The Play of Consciousness) **Description:** Rooted in the teachings of Kashmir Shaivism, this stage explores consciousness as an active and creative force. **Key Points:** - **Creative Force:** Consciousness is not passive but actively creates and sustains the universe. - **Non-dualism:** Emphasizes the non-dual nature of reality, where the distinction between the observer and the observed is an illusion. - **Divine Play:** The universe is a manifestation of the playfulness of Shiva, the supreme consciousness. ### 5. Chidvivarta (Consciousness Appears as the Universe) **Description:** This stage explains how consciousness manifests as the universe, making it appear as a diverse and multifaceted reality. **Key Points:** - **Manifestation:** The universe is a projection or expression of consciousness. - **Appearance:** What we perceive as the universe is actually consciousness in varied forms. - **Unity in Diversity:** Recognizes the underlying unity amidst the apparent diversity of forms and phenomena. ### 6. Chinmaya (Pervaded by Consciousness) **Description:** Here, consciousness is recognized as the essence that pervades all existence. **Key Points:** - **Omnipresence:** Consciousness is present in everything and everywhere. - **Essential Nature:** Everything in existence is imbued with consciousness, from the smallest atom to the largest galaxy. - **Holistic View:** Encourages seeing the interconnectedness and unity of all things through the lens of consciousness. ### 7. Chinmatra (Consciousness Alone) **Description:** The final stage is the realization that consciousness alone is the ultimate reality, and everything else is its manifestation. **Key Points:** - **Absolute Reality:** Consciousness is the only true existence, beyond all forms and phenomena. - **Pure Awareness:** A state of pure, undifferentiated awareness, free from the illusions of duality and multiplicity. - **Self-Realization:** The ultimate goal of spiritual practice, realizing one's true nature as pure consciousness. Each stage provides a deeper understanding of consciousness, moving from the external and tangible to the internal and subtle, ultimately culminating in the realization of consciousness as the only reality. This progression offers a comprehensive framework for exploring the nature of existence and our place within it.

Humble Bow 🙏🧎♂️to Swami ji ! The Buddha never say there is aatma nor say no aatma. He never say there is God nor there is no God. He keep silent in this matter. If You want to understand the teaching of The Buddha perfectly & know The Buddha closely You must become a Buddha , a perfectly awakened one , fully enlightened one. The Buddha say You are also a Buddha, I am also a Buddha ; I am already awake but You are in deep sleep ; Awake , awake. The Buddha never denied about God nor accept present of God. He remain silent on this matter. After listening Swamiji talking, I understand that he is not yet entitled to called himself a Swami & he don’t have feeling of oneness. It is better to learned from His Holiness Dalai Lama , teaching of oneness. Because, Truth is one , wise knows it by many names. He must Realized Himself first & He knows others. Otherwise his teachings are only entertaining for mouth 👄 & brain 🧠. He must reach to the level of heart. Buddha gives us freedom to accept his teaching or denied his teaching. “Never believe blindly, Never have blind faith, Do believe by using wisdom! Don`t believe whatever your master says, whatever your elder says or even Buddha says ! First, clearly examine and believe it ! Only by understanding the reason believe it ! Believe it only after test ! Don`t believe whatever you read and hear, Don`t believe in ritual tradition and culture ! First research it and find the facts. Don`t believe though you like, Don`t believe blindly even when your folks says, Believe it if it is ultimate truth! Believe only those who are learned one! “( Kalam Sutta ) That’s why the Great Dhyan Master Satya Narayan Goenka say :- धर्म ना हिंदू बौद्ध है, सिक्ख ना मुसलिम जैन ! धर्म चित्त की शुद्धता, धर्म सुख, शान्ति चैन !!

@@Aham16 yeah that may be the case. So have you experienced The Self
@snehayadav68432 жыл бұрын
@@Aham16 yeah ur indeed correct. But don't you think you've got to say this to me bcz you've got the knowledge of 'I AM' from somewhere, be that scriptures of vedanta or vedas. I know you've been experiencing The Self in every moment of life bcz we are That. And by knowing that we can assume the onness and work according to that be conscious of that which we are. But i am talking about the practical experience. See after having thay experience of enlightenment...still people forget that and continue their attached behaviour to their body or maya so being conscious is important and we are doing that indeed. But have you really found the reason why you've to be conscious. Why should i think like that way, like ONE with all. Have you really got the answer by yourself.
@niminair39532 жыл бұрын
@@snehayadav6843 - till one identifies oneself as the body and the mind, the self cannot be experienced. When you say you are looking or seeking for something, you are operating from separatedness. We are already our true selves. We cannot objectify the true self, and try and experience the object as a subject. Consciousness/Brahman/The true self, is not an object, and one cannot see oneself as the subject experiencing the object. When one experiences this bliss of oneness, the seen and the seer, the observer and the observed are all one. One does not see one different from any other. This is difficult to put in words, and needs to be experienced. Spirituality is experiential. We can use the mind to read, discuss and understand all of this, but we will need to cut off from the external, the five senses to actually experience the ‘awareness’, the pure ‘consciousness’ that we are. Go internal. Stop reading, discussing and retreat into the quietness that you are. 🙏

Sometimes it feels isolating when a lot of time is spent towards study. Feeling that others won’t understand what you are thinking about. Alan Watts is great at showing all the ways that to look at the same but from Westernized (view points). You have to speak another’s language to introduce your own or you end up speaking and not being listened to. Alan Watts is a synchronist and everyone benefits from all the other viewpoints if they have there own. Many words for water.

This keeps the camera from constantly shifting between different hues. At one point Swamiji's face is orange, then it gradually shifts to green and blue and so on. If the setting your camera gives you isn't spot on, you can correct it in post. The mess AWB produces is harder to correct.

@@ShuklaRahulType Swami Sarvapriyananda set search to last month time to +20 there are 5 I think Knowing and Being, Non-duality, 2 are Dryg Drys Viveka part 1/2 (volume is kinda quiet but very good), another was held at a Hindu worship center, and I didn’t watch it yet it had commercials every few minutes/Field and Knower, if you watch one he mentions were he had been. Very good. He must have toured California in last couple weeks. And one was What is Vedanta? although I was disappointed because there were a lot of cuts for some reason so you feel like you missed a lot.

@@ShuklaRahulI watched a little Krishnamurti before Swami Sarvapriyananda. I do believe Swami has structured his talks to his classes. He says he puts something for everyone in his talks. But if you follow him chronologically it is like learning a new way of communicating. It is a time commitment but you will be able to communicate with him, the texts, J.K., and I feel it transfers well. Sorry getting long… his early classes sound quality is not great (but necessary), Vedantasara is the class he taught for a long time and you can tell, I am biased but I think Mandukya is were he elaborated concepts the most, after those two you got Bhagavad Gita class which I think was put on a separate channel because it doesn’t follow his pattern as closely, Katha is ongoing but I think he starts expect more from viewers in that most of Katha is not new from him but he starts to elaborate less and therefore more concepts must be put together quicker. I think his newer/older talks very much reflect this. Didn’t mean to ramble… but remember sravana is a systematic study and he does it so well if you let him. I probably said what you knew do I probably needed to hear it. Thank you.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Just wanted to add that while Swamiji reads extensively from many sources ,he crafts his talk content uniquely in his own style often keeping in mind the particular audience. And there have been a list of his more preferred authors and influencers but J. krishnamurti does not happen to feature in it. So it’s unlikely anything you see in his talks has a reference to or inspired by J krishnamurti.
