I did once did get approached by 2 strangers in broad daylight. A man and a woman. They asked me for money. I said "no" Instead of continuing to walk like I expected, the man just stood there in front of me. The woman started moving around behind me. They looked at each other, then looked at me. The man started looking around like he was looking for who might witness what he was about to do. The hair on the back of my neck stood up. For the first time in my life I did feel a very real sense of danger. Then they looked at each other again and walked away. I just thought I might share that experience.

​@chriswaters2327 It was completely unexpected. I was actually in a very vulnerable position. I was standing on my bicycle with one foot on the ground, one foot on the pedal and both hands on the handle bars. If he spun around and punched me I in the face I would have had nowhere to go but flat on my back. I think the fact that it was broad daylight and there were people around meant it just wasn't worth it for them. They wouldn't have gotten very far before they were arrested and wouldn't have gotten much money anyway. .

I remember something similar happened to me right after I was fighting him and I beat him up. While I was getting the best of him he stopped and said you got that man than holded out his hands to shake my hand and when I tried to shake his hands, "bam" he stuck me with his right hand. I'm not shaking no one hands after I fight them lesson learned

No, they get caught with a sucker punch because they allow someone to get too close to them. I have been sucker punched on a few occasions and even attacked from behind. After that, for years nor I as a rule do not let anyone get to close to me. I let them know, that I have very good hearing and you can talk from there, do not be coming at me or I will feed it to you. I always have my back to the door, checking out where the exits and bathrooms are in the place where I am. I am always aware of my surroundings.

When you crowd people into cities things tend to get dangerous. New York needs to have legal open carry. Open carry forces the thugs to behave or face the consequences from a responsible armed citizen. Let's face it, the police might have some good people but they're extremely corrupt. We need to defend ourselves. A karambit complements JuJitsu extremely well. Small and easy to conceal...*hint* and its better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.
