Hi Vee! If you're feeling too sleepy during classes, try to hold your breath for 15 to 30 seconds and sip cold water.... You'll feel awake temporarily, at least enough to finish the class properly. Hope this helps!

Your late-night videos give me life. I am currently doing a master's at Stanford from Europe with a 9-hour time difference. I completely understand the feeling of not seeing anyone (my friends and partner are at work when I am just waking up and my classes start when they are home) and struggling to keep your eyes open and coherent thoughts flowing in 2 AM breakout rooms. You're doing great and this is going to get easier :)

It always takes me hours to watch one video. Hearing "I've finished that task" or "I'm done with my to-do list for the week" triggers something in me, I have to get out of bed and do the work I need to get done and then I can continue watching.

I hope that your professors from Harvard are sympathetic about the time difference. It can be very difficult to be awake for a midnight class going until 2:00 a.m. in the morning. I had to attend 5 or 6:00 a.m. OU Live tutorials when I was doing my MA in Classical Studies at the Open University because I am five hours behind the U.K. where I live in Canada.

Sometimes I see videos where people just sit down and study because they "have to", but it seems like you do it because you enjoy your subject so much. That is so great to see. Sometimes I think there are not many people who actually go to university because they enjoy studying for their subject. Your videos help me a lot to find the motivation when I just can't get it on my own, even though I absolutely love what I study. My classes won't start until the end of October, but I still wanted to prepare. if you’re ever tired one day you should download obs studio and screen record your lecture, go back to sleep and wake up when it ends to turn off your recording... then sleep again. you can write your notes in the morning when its better for you and your health.

Are you going to be doing the entire year from england or will you have the chance to fly over to the U.S at some point? It seems odd that we can fly to so many places but you can’t go over for education. Even distance learning in America would be an amazing experience (and being in the same time zone might be easier loool)

She can’t go to the US even if she wanted to. There is a ban on anyone who has been to the UK or EU within a specific timeframe. She would have to go to a country that’s not on the ban list and then stay there for 14 days before she can enter the US.

And I know someone who sent their child back to school for two weeks, and then the whole year group is now in quarantine because one of the teachers had Covid. So I think the teachers have a point here. By the way, I couldn't see what your snacks were, but they sounded like crisp some things. I have to say, I can't blame you there. When I was doing my course, I was eating a lot of McDonald's Mc flurry's… One day, I went to Tescos and they had a huge tray of cupcakes, strawberry, coffee and chocolate flavored cupcakes. I bought them, and I was showing them to the professors during the break. I told all of my classmates and professors if they came to London I would share them. Ha ha Ha 😂😂
