This brings me back to when I lived a little outside of Chennai in 1996. I can smell the idlis & sambar cooking. She sounds as though Sarasvati is transmitting to her. Her mastery of glissando makes the notes seem to merge into a river of love which embraces us all.

After 12th North India invaded by Muslims apart from destroying Temples they also corrupted our classical music by including elements of persian, turkic and middle eastern music that is why our North Indian music had lost divinity and only remained the music of islamic rulers court. Southern Indian classical music is the real divine music of India. We should also try to remove the foreign influences in the North Indian classical music.
