@@SPQRafc not exactly she got dramatically worse as time went on in season 2 she was overcome with guilt because a mission she ordered (which was successful) resulted in a soldier losing a leg. In season 7 she was only mildly uncomfortable when when she thought she had andrew killed. She went from putting oils guys on a clean jobs task force to colluding with china to sell them Tibet in exchange for a an election win.

She treated Gary like dirt and and you always hoped that she would show him some respect and kindness. But she never did. The scene that summed it up for me was when Gary was hurt in bed and they fell asleep together and he moved his arm around her and she got up and pushed it away with such disgust. I knew she was irredeemable and vapid. I rooted against her from then on.

I remember Tony on an interview that they actually shot this same scene but Gary's emotion was anger towards Selina. But this was better since Gary decides to forgive Selina, since she's dead after all, and to move on with his life.

There were plenty of references to her being from either party lol. And Julia Louis-Dreyfus herself said that they deliberately chose not to associate Selina with one party. That being said, I personally think she could’ve easily worked for either.

We can’t say what party they’re a part of. This is an old comment but the mix of ideologies inside of Selina’s party wasn’t anything like what we would see in the democrats. I mean Jonah Ryan was campaigning on anti-vax and anti-math and Buddy Calhoun wanted to get rid of gay marriage while being in the same party as people who wanted free day care and cared about having diverse candidates. While the opposition party tried to reform private prisons. It’s literally impossible to tell what these parties are and that’s probably for the best with this show. It’s more about the people than the party.
