Veg Momos Recipe:
Maida (All Purpose Flour) - 1 Cup
Water - ¼ Cup
Corn Starch - For Rolling
Salt - A Pinch
Oil - 1 tbsp
For The Filling:
Cabbage (finely chopped) - 1 Cup
Onion (finely chopped) - 1 no
Carrot (grated) - ½ Cup
Broccoli (grated) - ½ Cup
Ginger (minced) - 1 tbsp
Garlic (minced) - 1 tbsp
Spring Onion (chopped) - 2 tbsp
Oil - 1 tbsp
MSG - ½ tsp
Salt - ½ tsp
Black Pepper Powder - ¼ tsp
Soy Sauce - 1 tsp
Cooking Instructions:
1. Knead a soft dough with the flour and water and cover and rest for 20 mins.
2. For the stuffing: heat oil in a pan over medium heat and add the ginger, garlic and onion, saute until the onions are translucent.
3. Add the cabbage, broccoli and carrot. Mix well.
4. Add the salt, pepper and soya sauce. Cook for 5 mins.
5. Finish with the MSG and chopped spring onion.
6. Divide the dough and roll out small roundels and stuff with the mixture by sticking the ends together forming a semi-circle and sticking together the ends of the semi-circle.
7. Steam for 6 mins.
Cooking Tips:
1. Add vegetables of your choice, soya/ meal maker mince or grated paneer.
2. Additional water can be added as needed to get a smooth and soft dough while kneading.
