With many conventional radar sensors, buildup or condensation on the process fitting reduces the reliability of the measuring results. Optimized signal processing makes VEGAPULS 64 independent of buildup.

Hi VEGA team.. I think such videos must also be made with VEGAPULS C21 and VEGAPULS C23 to show that these 80 GHz sensors with high dynamic range can work in applications with build up, condensation and foam. The problem is that some of our competitors are providing misleading information to customers that 80 GHz radars will not work in applications with foam or dense mist either because the microwaves are absorbed by the foam or because the sensors detect the build up instead of actual level.

We have lots of those installed in steeps where we keep barley for future malt. I can tell you that if I don't clean the lenses once per month, some of those will start playing up, because of sludge build up on lenses. Otherwise good unit!

Hello Abhishek, Thanks for your question. As our sensor is very insensitive to condensation and buildup it is not necessary to make any special adjustments. You have to do the 100% and 0% setting according our manual and that's it. :-) We would recommend a process connection of minimum 1 1/2 “ to get a good focusing. Do you have more questions? Is guided wave radar level probe/wire is connected to bottom or it leave to float in liquid process tank

Hello Abhishek, this video shows a radar sensor. You can find more information about guided wave radar sensors in this playlist: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jmrLY6Fng9h1Z8k Regarding your question: the cable end should always stay at the deepest point of the tank. If there are a lot of turbulences, it makes sense to fix the cable at the bottom. Normally it's enough to use the standard gravity weight to keep the cable straight.
