Chorizo does not mean "spicy” in English. Chorizo refers to a type of pork sausage. Yes, it's typically spicy but not always. Also, Chorizo also means two different things depending on where it's from. It is referred to a soft sausage that gets crumbled in Mexico and a cured, hard sausage in Spain.

I almost always add pepper and sometimes salt to things like this! 😊 I have one of the Daiya fiesta burritos in my freezer right now that has been hanging out there for a few weeks. Now I’m anxious to try it! I’m going to have to look for the Daiya burrito with maple syrup (yum) and the Alpha breakfast sandwich. 😊 I agree the Gardein bowls are always a good option when you need something fast!

Amy's tofu scramble is my go-to for any time of the day. You have to mix it All up for the optimal flavor. Mix the sauce and hash browns with the veggie mix. And the thing to take it up a notch... Add a few drops of your choice of hot sauce ( I love the green Tabasco) 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I don’t add salt and pepper to pre made foods; now I will add a habanero or something made of them because “spicy” isn’t what it used to herald. When I’m an old lady, I won’t have candy in my purse, I’ll have a baggie of habaneros dried and fresh.

I add stuff to almost everything that's frozen or from places that lack flavor. I have sriracha, soy sauce, and cholula in the car and at home we put Tony Chatchere's, green chile, mustard, and/or other spices and sauces. I hate bland food.

I loved the just egg. Thought they were creamy and loved the poblano pepper taste. Did you cook them in a pan or microwave? Pan, no oil but a little butter is the way to go.

I would be interested in a frozen veggie taste test. Idk if that is weird but I have a hard time liking frozen veggies. They taste mushy and weird to me but maybe I am picking the wrong ones or doing something wrong.

just before this video i tried gregory's coffee which is a hipster-ish coffee shop that's popular in NYC but actually just opened near me and they have so many gf/vegan options!! I tried the vegan burrito with just egg/daiya cheddar/beyond breakfast sausage/peppers/onions/ (and supposedly breakfast potatoes even though i didn't taste any tbh) and it was shockingly so good!! i've never had just egg before or the cheddar daiya so i was pleasantly surprised and it was only $5.95!! i feel like that's pretty reasonable considering all those products are expensive separately :)

How do your frozen burritos turn out so nice and neat? I make it a point to follow the manufacturer's instructions for microwave, yet I often end up with the burritos breaking/leaking, sometimes in multiple places.

I don't care for the plain Just Egg, but I do like the sous vide. I agree that it's too expensive, though. By the way, MSF is planning on making everything they make vegan sometime in 2022, so we'll be able to have their breakfast sandwiches. I keep trying to get Gardein sausage and gravy, but it's never in stock.

Okay I never add seasoning to frozen microwave meals as I always feel they have enough sodium and it feels like I'm defeating the purpose or buying "fast" food. I only want my tacos to taste like tacos 🌮. If it tastes like cumin it better be tacos or else I don't like it 😆 I looooove the Gardein asparagus and S'sage!

So here’s the thing. When you read ingredients the package says - (vegan implied) smoky bacon, sausage crumbles, egg scramble and pepper cheese. Then you say it tastes bad. Maybe because it’s actually smoky soy, soy crumbles, soy scramble and soy cheese. (Or seitan or bean or lentil.) It’s not the actual thing anymore. Advances are made all the time but you can only manipulate vegetable products so many ways. Full disclosure I’m not vegan (I just can’t give up my dairy) but my diet is about 90% vegetarian and I love vegan food. But I typically don’t eat “replacement” foods; at least not processed foods. I do cook with Beyond and Impossible but don’t get pre-made burritos or breakfast sandwiches. So maybe I don’t like replacements because if I want the thing I’m still eating the thing? But I don’t even buy the non-vegan versions either so maybe I’m talking out my ass here lol. And none of this is knocking your videos. It’s more a criticism of prepared foods I guess which already started out bad and just get worse when they get veganized. Long way to it but that’s the point I guess lol.
