Specifically originates from Gullah People in South Carolina. It's our version of "peas and rice" that's common throughout the Caribbean and rest of the African Diaspora.

fun to watch. Just the right balance of personal, educational, and flare. And, you don't hide your beauty behind over done make up. as a plant based eater I love options. thankyou.

In the SC Lowcountry they used a smaller red pea called a cow pea for this. Black Eyed peas are a separate dish on the New Years menu.

Cowpea and blackeyed peas are the same thing. They are sometimes smaller

There are anchovies in Worcestershire sauce. Therefore this cannot be considered vegan or vegetarian. The best you can call it is pescetarian, or completely leave out the WS.

Its a vegan worcestershire! i want to say it was annies brand, but i got it from wholefoods i believe.... was so long ago. they deff sell the vegan version!
