I really wouldn’t say vegan cheese never melts. It really depends on the cheese you buy, try out some violife. It melts fairly well.

This is interesting... I'm not a vegan but am interested in learning how to make delicious recipes with just plants as I don't really care about meat (minus bacon haha sorry it's damn good and the smell of pork rendering is mesmerizing haha), but I looooooooove cheese... Sharp cheddar preferably idk that I could give that up... I'd be willing to give up everything else including porky the pig, but not cheddar cheese haha it's delicious especially NY sharp or Vermont Cheddar... Anyhoo the recipe looks good minus the fungus just not my thing but looks great and I'd definitely try it 😊
