I'm obese and went on a Daniels fast for 30 days with my church. I had no process foods. Fruits and veggie diet only, and it inspired me to try becoming full vegan. I lost almost 20lbs in one month. I went back to meat but now I am reconsidering making this a lifestyle because I don't enjoy meat anymore. By the way, you are so energetic and gorgeous hunni. Keep shining

I agree about cutting out alcohol. I finally accepted that it always makes me sick and gave it up. I don’t miss it! The only bad part is people get reallyyy weird about others not drinking. No I’m not pregnant. Yes I’m having fun without being drunk! Why do people care?! I’ve literally had to ask a bartender to fill a shot/lowball glass with water just to get people off my back.

Growing up in Europe where the legal drinking age was lower and public drinking is common, I felt a lot of pressure from fellow classmates and even my parents to drink. I've never liked alcohol and never will. I don't care if people think it's weird that I don't drink. I actually think it's dangerous how used people are to drinking alcohol on a regular basis, considering it's a drug.
@hydyho6305
@hydyho6305 6 жыл бұрын
LolloRosso Absolutely correct. I recently learned that alcohol is toxic to every single cell in our body, which would explain why there are so very many health problems that it can cause. And yet they demonize something like marijuana...which is just a plant that grows in the ground that happens to actually be very helpful for a wide variety of health conditions. 😒 It's allll about the money..

I cut back around 90% of my oil intake, but I still do Not like sauteing veggies in broth. It looks and tastes sad to me. I bought a sprayer and bought some really high quality olive oil (pop your olive oil in the fridge, it should solidify--if not, it's been diluted with canola oil). A little spritz is enough for most things and I have seriously lost so much weight.

I just adore your personality and your videos. You've been truly inspirational to me on my journey. Thank you! Also, I have counted calories for at least 15 years. It's exhausting and fun-sucking. Becoming plant based freed me. I no longer count calories or obsess over everything I eat. My clothes fit better. I feel better!

She probably went from meat and dairy heavy to vegan without a transition. If you’re already vegetarian and going vegan it’ll probably be less. Best weight loss though is to cut out processed flours and sugar (except for whole fruits)

For a somewhat healthy dessert, I like the Freezes from Pressed Juicery. It's basically juice that's frozen and run through a soft serve ice cream machine. It's 40 - 88 calories for 4 ounces. I just add a bit of chopped fruit as a topping, but they have more indulgent toppings if you're not counting your calories. It really gives me the feeling of having an indulgent dessert, but it's pretty healthy.

Drinking alkaline water makes a world of difference, too. I'm not a huge fan of paying extra for water, but it makes a world of difference! Also, flax seed (or grounded flax seed) works well for fibrous diets.

As it pertains to weight loss (as alkaline water has a multitude of benefits) is an indirect benefit but a great benefit nonetheless! Alkaline water is often touted as a heartburn reducer, but it also eases many other indigestion problems: when your stomach is sated, you don't eat as much (as you mentioned with drinking water as it reltates to thirst). The added benefit of alkaline water, as relates to weight loss (and to those that may not be a fan of drinking water or have a poor water water quality (despite filtration)) it is very digestible! (Most people don't like drinking pure water, but I couldn't drink it as a kid without it making me sick. I can drink this all the livelong day and those that don't like water seem to enjoy alkaline water) With that, of course, the willing to increase your intake of it, and from that comes a lot of your hydration and energy and loy less compensation in searching for something else to fill that void (aka food). I've dropped 60lbs incorporating it into my life. Coconut water and aloe vera water can also offer these same benefit as well, but coconut water and aloe vera water doesn't have a great shelf life.

Josco31 Please don't listen to these people about alkaline water. It will make you sick.It's basically a concentration of heavy metals that are toxic. I have hypothyroidism and this claims to fix it, instead it worsened my condition 3 fold. Alkaline water is dangerous and a fad.
@caseyhughes4669
@caseyhughes4669 6 жыл бұрын
violet goodman alkaline water, dangerous??? maybe you are referring to a particular brand/brands whose claims of "alkalinity" were false ? Because those certainly are out there. Alkaline just means the PH levels are above neutral..so...an at home test with PH strips reveal many brands exaggerate their products' PH level. As for heavy metals, I'm not sure what you mean ...true, authentic alkaline water is natural spring water, which contains important minerals for our bodies. I drink (almost exclusively at this point) spring water and personally it has been wonderful ...I just need to drink more throughout the day! When I WAS drinking half my body weight in ounces of spring water everyday, the results were amazing...I was losing weight (AND decreasing body fat percentage) quite effortlessly. I'm just thinking maybe its possible you had negative experiences because of dishonest companies advertising as alkaline when in fact their water wasn't alkaline at all?,
@caseyhughes4669
@caseyhughes4669 6 жыл бұрын
violet goodman your body regulates PH within a very strict range, therefore the water wouldn't be too alkaline...I agree that too acidic or too alkaline is bad but for the body to go into alkalosis is extremely difficult and water Aline cannot cause that because the foods you eat in addition to it determine that...as well as any and everything you put on or into the body. I am sorry your experiences were negative and Its true everyone's different. Have a good night.

I like to bulk food up to stay full and healthy. I’ll add a handful of spinach or a couple handfuls to anything I’m cooking. It cooks down easy and bulks up the meal. It is high in Vit A and folic acid, but it is very few calories. It is pure vitamins and great to bulk up fueling foods.

Great tips to live by. There is one issue that only a person who has had body weight issues in the past will understand which is, eating is not a sport/hobby/passtime. Develope interests, hobbies or participate in activities that allow you to do things other than focusing on eating. That worked for me.
If I were going vegan in 2024, I'd do this
