Peanuts are my thang too. Actually I’m not a big eater, and what sustains me is nuts and dates when Im too lazy to cook, with peanuts and almonds being the bulk. I’m now into cooking West African food, and there are many dishes with peanut butter. My favorite is a whole cabbage, onion, bell peppers, tomatoes, garlic, salt, pepper, a bullion if you want, and how ever much peanut butter you want. Cook that down (no water) and you got a heavenly stew. Peanut buttah!

As a whole food plant based bodybuilder (male), I can say that dried fruit and nuts were the key for me. I can make a bowl of oatmeal up to 1800 calories without increasing the volume of it much. (2 servings of oats as the base). I don’t actually make it like that because that’s too much for my needs. I don’t ever feel stuffed anymore and I’m currently around 3500 calories a day with room to easily push it higher if needed. I eat lentils on toast with orange juice for breakfast. Oatmeal with nuts seeds and dried fruit for brunch and lunch. Whole grain pasta or rice with 300 calories of something extra (beans, tofu, sometimes vegan chicken nuggets) for dinner. I used to do smoothies that were similar in ingredients to my current oatmeal but found it’s just easier to eat the oatmeal than drink a huge smoothie for some reason. But if you make your smoothies thin you can drink them for easy calories. When you eat that many calories you don’t have to worry about protein. I easily get the 1.6g per kilo of bodyweight that you need to optimize muscle growth.

Peanutbutter can also cause high LDLs due to the high Omega 6 content. My cholesterol is always great, but I went ham on peanut butter for about two months & my Cardiologist asked what did you do? I had only added robust amounts of peanutbutter & going off on it. It was so delicious on my apples, carrots, etc., may sound crazy, but tastes really good.😋 He said STOP! The Cardio Omega 3:6 Test came back alarmingly high, increasing cardiovascular risk. It was a store bought vegan butter, but it didn't land as healthily diagnostically. I was very surprised by this. I encourage moderation always. Also, I encourage everyone to know your markers before changing your diet so that when you do change, you know what changes are biologically healthy for you. Feeling good or better is not enough on its own to confirm health. If the changes are solid they will be diagnostically evident. Before taking on any new clients or making any lifestyle changes, we get the relevant testing BEFORE hand & DURING (intervals) to ensure that our plan is WORKIING. We confirm this with results that demonstrate that we are _actually_ trending in the right direction. Remember: Nutritional Intervention is ALWAYS (well mostly always, except in severe cases that require immediate medical intervention) the fastest way to impart physiological change. Food is Medicine & you should understand its power before just diving in. Sometimes a foods' impact is about amount & timing, while others have a much slower, less traceable impact. Know your food. Thank you for the video & blog sis. I just ran across you & will be checking you out. This has been my lifestyle & path for 40+ years & I love see others joining the tribe that encourages healthy choices as a lifestyle foundation. Bless you & may you be rightly guided in all that you think, say, or do.💜 Best of health to everyone 💞

I do find that you must exercise while eating high calorie, even as a raw vegan or you’ll just gain weight in the wrong areas. And can we just come to realize that there is no such thing as raw vegan or vegan or vegetarian or even carnivore diets.... we have species specific foods that we are meant to eat and that is the food that our Creator has blessed us with, fruits, nuts, seeds, greens and vegetables. Thank you 🙏🏼💜

My biggest problem which I tell everyone whenever im recommended to eat nuts; I'm highly allergic to almost all nuts. The only ones I can eat are Hazel and Pumpkin and just a little bit of macadamia. If I keep eating macadamia, my allergy will be triggered. So, what can I use an alternate? I've tried sunflower butter but I can't get past the taste of it for some reason. And a lot of nutrigrains have nuts as well, so what do I do? Another allergy that contains a nut being avocado
@VeganWithCurves27 күн бұрын
@@MrsSweetz2U you definitely don’t need nut butter to reach your calorie goals! There are plenty of calorie-dense foods that can help you keep weight on without nuts. Try adding more olives, whole seeds like sunflower, pumpkin, flax, chia, etc. Carbs are also great for calories-think dried fruit, pasta, and potatoes. And don’t forget to keep your protein intake high with options that have no relation to nuts, like protein powder, beans, and tofu (tofu also has healthy fats). Cooking with a bit of oil or plant-based butter adds extra calories without needing a ton. Remember specific foods are not the key... the overall goal is to meet your caloric needs and anything dense in calories can help you do that. you definitely don’t need nut butter to reach your calorie goals!
