A very clear and comprehensive talk, with such a respectful attitude to people new to these ideas. It was quite emotional listening to the parent’s questions, they really wanted help to get this to work. I brought up my kids dairy free in the 80s and 90s because they started to get symptoms, they did fine without it, and rarely had colds.

My 2 children have been raised vegan since birth -- we don't eat any fortified foods (we make our own plant milks), they've never taken B12 supplements or any multivitamin, and they're now 22 and 25 years old. We waived all shots for homeschooling and I'm still waiting for the deficiencies to set in like everyone warned us (including other vegans about B12 and Vitamin D). LOL

it is interesting, though I must admit my (perhaps predictable) reaction is you/they need b12 and important childhood vaccinations.. but I'm open and would love to hear an interview with you.

This is what makes me curious, why some people don't seem to need B12 even after decades. I would never risk it, personally, but when there are people that have already done it, this should be studied. Have your children ever had blood work done to check their B12 and vit D levels? Two things I've been borderline low on myself, until I found better working supplements.
@VeganLinked17 күн бұрын
@@carinaekstrom1 yeah supplementing B12 is likely a good idea for everyone. It's my understanding that symptoms may take time to manifest. And for some people those symptoms might result in irreversible damage. Same thing with vitamin D. They're still very young in their twenties.

I met and spent time with a couple of kids who were raised as raw vegans. They were like a different species. They passionately asked for more spirulina crunchies for their sprout salads. They had a look in their eyes of deep peace and knowing and they were more mature and aware than me. In their eyes, I could see truth. And the clearest clarity. Forget about the cultural insanity of birthday cake. Never give kids the addiction in the first place, and I kid you not, they will ask for spirulina and apples.

@@rebekkaswan That's awesome! Except spirulina has been known to often have neurotoxins and hepatotoxins. So I hope they have a very high quality source or don't really eat it very often. Dr Greger has a video on it, at least one. And a company would have to test every batch or frequently test their batches in order to know that what they're selling is consistently safe.

@@rebekkaswan And you're right, kids will eat what you feed them and adapt to that. So it's a beautiful thing to see somebody who has been raised in the purest way. Did you see my interview with Dr Esser? He is an adult version of what you're describing.

@ Yes I have heard this, and there are more trustworthy brands, like Vimergy. Have you tried spirulina crunchies? They are delicious.
