We BUILT A CUSTOM DROID at Disneyland! Was it worth it?

Have you ever wondered what it's like to build a custom droid at Droid Depot in Disneyland? THIS is what it's like!! Join us as we make our way into Batuu (aka Galaxy's Edge), keep an eye out for Kylo Ren and the First Order, and step into the quirky droid-asmr laden Droid Depot to pick our droid parts and make some new friends. Was the experience worth it? Would we do it again? How much does it cost? Tune in and find out.

I got the backpack for mine because I've taken mine back to the park and that backpack is VERY handy to have if you plan on coming back to Disneyland with your droid😉

Great video! I've been watching a bunch of Droid Depot videos lately, because I'm interested in building a droid myself some day. I'd likely build a C1 unit (like Chopper) and eventually custom paint it. I've seen other people suggest getting a pet carrier instead, for a backpack to carry the droids around.

@@nerdydaydreams I've seen the C1 units get the most options, as far as parts + accessories. C1 units being able to use either the short legs or the R2 legs, if you keep that leg/wheel extender on, which means they can also use the drink tray and other accessories that are advertised for the R2 units. For color, I'm thinking maybe mostly black with some purple.

Now you need to bring it to the Disney fan club expo on April 21, and join in on the droid races! Everybody brings their custom droids. And when I say custom, I mean next level. Hand painted, themed characters and everything! It's an amazing experience, and it's free

ooooh I love this question!! both are so much fun to build, but I do think the lightsaber building is a more immersive experience. It feels really special and the lightsaber itself feels heavy and good quality. I love love love bb-grape, but I'll acknowledge that she is more plastic than our saber. 🥰 both are so fun though!

I totally get that!! Are you planning to use the remote function a lot? I find my BB unit is very tricky to navigate - still fun and looks amazing on my shelf! I’ve recently tried an R2 unit, and it’s much easier to move around. 💖

I noticed that too!! I thought about making a red and green one for Christmas, but there was no green. They do have green decals that you can add on to customize though! If you look up Ordinary Adventures’ droid building video, they got the green decals. 💚
