If they don’t pick a restaurant with a vegan option/s then I don’t consider them a friend tbh. Salads don’t count.

yesss and the fact that a salad is $20 and needs the satiating ingredients removed to be vegan - you're paying the same price as a meat-eater to remove the cheese, candied nuts, meat, dressing, etc so you're getting inorganic lettuce and some tomatoes

Do you do the same for meat eaters? Are you even friends with meat eaters? Would you change a group plan for one meat eater? I feel pretty confident that would be a no on all accounts.

If the answer is no that would be because that is not the same. People eating beings we love so much, is something we can’t stand. If you love dogs, you wouldn’t visit a restaurant where they serve dog meat, right? Even if your friend loves to eat dog. Personally I choose a restaurant where they have options for everyones dietary requests. Because I am tired of arguing there are just people I don’t want or can cut out in my life.

@@helenageerts2115 I have no problem with picking places that have options but it was just clearly stated that if they don't see those options as viable they won't go. I don't want to be the weirdo eating a salad was a statement I don't think anybody cares if you eat a salad these days. The reason people argue with vegans is the stated end goal of ending meat consumption. If I started a movement that wanted to ban veganism then rightfully so the vegans would argue against it. That's the problem vegans signed onto this ideology without wanting to receive push back for it. Then they complain that people stop hanging with them when in reality they are the ones that stop coming out cause we get tired of dealing with the vegan demands.

@@mikesiegel276 I don’t understand what your point is. You are talking very objectively. Vegans don’t like that people eat animal products, and people don’t like people who don’t like something of them and make that clear.

@@mikesiegel276 I think the point she was making was that with these restaurants that don't have vegan options the only thing you can eat is a salad and most of the time salads are boring and they don't fill you up. Vegans want to eat good food too. 99% of restaurants are not 100% vegan and most restaurants that have good vegan food have non vegan options. And the reason vegans want to end meat consumption is because we are unnecessarily killing animals for our taste pleasure. The reason why you banning veganism is not comparable is because the 2 actions don't hold the same moral weight. ending the life of a living being who wants to live is worse than eating a plant imo
