A couple of men who know Binzer are staying at the hotel and when they see they jump him, Dan tries to help but they get away. Binzer tells Dan he doesn't know them. Later they show up at Binzer's place and it seems that a few years ago Binzer helped them rob someone and they were caught and were sent to prison for three years and Binzer got away with the money. Binzer claims that he lost the money but they don't believe him. They tell Binzer to get the money or else they'll turn him in for being an accomplice in the robbery.

Omg! , I’m one of the the “Calendar Girls” - I’m the one with white hair putting on suntan lotion on a lounge chair to the left of the two guys -Dick Butkus and other actor- as they enter the first scene. This was shot 40 plus years ago and I never got to see whether I ever got on camera or not - until now Aug 2022, haha, what a hoot! I originally was wearing a slinky red 1 piece cut really low- but they said red was too distracting so I had to change into a different bikini that fortunately I brought with me. It was shot in 1980 and when the episode was set to debut in 1981, the news preempted the show because the hijacked hostages in Iran were being released. I was performing in Mexico at the time and my sister was all ready to watch but never got to either. Thanks to KZbin I can now show her. ha!

amazing! i used to do a lot of extra work and seems like nothing has changed LOL Taking your own clothes on set, not knowing if you will end up in the cutting room floor etc etc it is a fun "job" to have on the side shame extras are not respected in the industry, i got fed up at one point and left for a while it is weird as you then see real life in a much different way, did this also happen to you? Like you wonder whats going on, ar they filming? cant help bt feeling as if we are all caught up in a Truman show...

You are a blonde. You don’t have white hair. Plus you never got to see if you made it on camera? You mean you never watched this episode when it aired? Or in a repeat episode when that aired as well?
@bellouise
@bellouise 5 ай бұрын
Actually I did have white hair then, not blonde which has yellow in it. It was bleached to the 7th stage of hair color - “white white, knock ‘em dead white” ha! and it looked great with a lot of stage makeup on but was rather “whoa- too much white” offstage without any makeup. Ha! When the show was first supposed to air, way back in the early 1980s, I was performing in Acapulco, Mexico (for a year and a half contract) so I asked my sister to watch it and see if I was in any of the filmed scenes. It turned out that was the day the hostages were finally released and the news pre-empted the show that night in favor of more important news coverage. So she never got to see it either. When I came back to the States, I didn’t know the episode Number or even the title, and though I watched the seasons the show was on, I never did see the one i was in… at least, until finally finding it on KZbin 40 years later! @@thefrase7884

Dan Tanna: “Cousin Spenser?! Is that you?” Spenser: “It’s not Cousin Jimmy Street.” Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane: “Great gobs of goose grease! They look alike, but I can’t tell which one’s which?!” Dan Tanna & Spenser: (in unison) “Our mothers often react in the same way, Sheriff Coltrane!” Cooter: “The difference between you fellas is the kind of a car each of you drive.” Spenser: “I could possibly use a drink of ice cold beer 🍺.” Dan Tanna: “Likewise.” Luke: “Come with us to The Boar’s 🐗 Nest. Our treat. If you don’t mind riding in the General Lee?!” Dan Tanna: “I call Shotgun!” Spenser: “I guess we gotta slide through the windows?!” Bo: “Yep!” Balladeer: “So by the time Bo & Luke & Dan & Spenser got to The Boar’s 🐗 Nest, they were in for a surprise.” Luke: “B.J. McKay! Colt Seavers! Howie Munson! Joe Mannix! Jim Rockford! Thomas Magnum! Frank Cannon! Stu Bailey! Rick & A.J. Simon! Kookie! Cal Calhoun! Rex Randolph! T.J. Hooker! What are you guys doing here in Hazzard?” B.J. McKay: “Delivering a load of Pabst Blue Ribbon here!” Dan Tanna: (shaking hands with B.J.) “I haven’t seen you since you testified against Paul Vayne when he was tried for masterminding the robbery at The Dunes.” Spenser: (giggling) “When Vayne tried to pin it on you, Glen Campbell posted your bail?!” Bo: “That must have set him back quite a bit.” Colt Seavers: “At least he didn’t jump bail like some folks that I’ve chased over the years.” Howie Munson: “I was attending UNLV when it happened, but I did get to meet up with Birdie Hawkins who won the Lawman Of The Year Award at the Sheriff’s Association of America convention held there that year!” Dan Tanna: “Too bad that I was wrapping up my vacation time just prior to the arrest of Paul Vayne.” Jim Rockford: “Well, let’s not stand around. Let’s get inside and get those beers 🍻. Besides, didn’t Cletus nail good old Jerry Vale earlier this morning in one of the speed traps Boss Hogg has?!” The guys go into The Boar’s 🐗 Nest as Jerry starts singing “THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM” from the Broadway play called “THE MAN OF LA MANCHA”.

There's that scene when one of the thugs says no one will miss Dan Tanna because he has no known relatives. Was there an episode where Dan Tanna brought up his family? I could have sworn he mentioned something about his family before. This is definitely one of the better episodes of S3. Wish Dan and his crew would have been around for at least another two seasons because it seems like in S3, we're finding out a little more about him and his friends.

Question for all of you Vega$ fans -- at 37:37, Dave (Greg Morris) tells Beatrice (Phyllis Davis) the Las Vegas Metro police checked "Dan's pad" for Dan and we "struck out there, too".... Bea then tells Dave after she is dressed (she was in her jammies) - she was "going to work", and Bea added "Dan may call" her there. After getting dressed, Bea immediately drives to work, at Dan's place -- and Dan is tied up there with his kidnappers--one of whom was played by ex NFL great Dick Butkus--what gives? Why would Metro leave Dan's place unguarded after looking for Dan there? No wonder Robert Urich did not like some of the Season 3 scripts...
@J.A.1969

@Bob Custer good catch. Didn't notice that. Sometimes, I think those continuity glitches are a result of working too fast and moving too quickly through shooting. TV series back then definitely had a lot of goof ups but what can one do? I believe that Urich had issues with S3. S2 was way better but S3 has some really out there episodes like the one where Dan gets abducted and drugged against his will. That episode is terrifying.

I don't think Vega$ was the problem, but sometimes other shows got the fellow's channel canceled. It has been two weeks, he probably got tired of uploading. It is a shame that some media companies would rather see an old show fade into obscurity in the hopes of selling a few discs (if they are even available). I have all three seasons of Vega$ on disc, but it is more fun here with the fans' comments.

On Binzer's big roll at 28:50, the Desert Inn house limit at the time was $2,000 on the front or back line at the game of craps... Doubtful any pit boss would have ever let Binzer press his bet over 5 grand...and 2 grand on a 8 the hardway? The 'hardways' craps limit then might have been 500.00...still, a good episode and story...

He probably wasn't close enough to be charged or wanted. Perhaps enough time had passed that the DA didn't wish to reopen the case for such a small matter. I agree it is a bit of a stretch.

@@B-and-O-Operator-Fairmont when you're a kid plots make sense. My dad would say this is bull$hit these shows are so unbelievable. Now I'm a dad and I look back at these shows and I thinking he's was right. Lol

34:00 - Probably not a good idea for a single mom to have her name over the door knob, but it took the guess work out of who's house was about to be unlawfully entered. Phyllis Davis was always beautiful, but I preferred her shorter and darker blonde or brunette hair in Seasons 1 and 2. And I maintain that no one ever looked better talking on a telephone! In 2021, Bart Braverman is the last surviving member of the core cast, now aged 75 years (February 1, 1946).

Vegas was at its best during seasons 1 and 2. Season 3 wasn’t as great, and the show was cancelled after that. Vegas was still one of my favorite shows back then and now. Do you think you could upload some of the Quinn Martin detective shows like The Streets of San Francisco or Cannon? 🙂
