Tombstone is a true all-star but the the technology of most of the bits in the top 20 or so has evolved to the point where bits are either prepared specifically to deal with TS via armor. Or simply their increased speed and maneuverability means the single strat of pretend to miss then swing doesn't work or the hits are glances not smashes.

What a set of legendary robot warriors! WOW! As a long time fan of robot combat, I gotta say this was a great example of the best the sport has to offer! Brutal slugfests, quick kills, smoke and fire and metal everywhere! Special shoutout to Hydra, too. In a world increasingly populated by ever more powerful spinners, Hydra's continued evolution as the premier flipper/launcher threat provides crucial variety and keeps things more interesting and entertaining for the audience. Team Hydra might be a villain, but they're a villain I appreciate! 😅

It's fantastic to finally get to see these fights. I'd say my favorite was Hypershock vs. Tombstone. That fight had a few great hits at the start, and then became an odd, comedic fight with some amusing commentary as Tombstone hid in its own smoke screen. Congratulations to Alex Bales on beating three powerful opponents during her first time driving Hypershock in battle, and getting the giant bolt to celebrate that! Now, please Discovery, please renew Battlebots for a new season! And if you still won't listen, can another network please pick them up so we can see robot combat on TV again?

This was a great show. Loved that we got a full fight night condensed into a half hour package. Only thing I'd like to see would be a second followup video in a 'post game' show/interview with the teams and their hardware.
