I think Peter is an incredible conversationalist, and I thoroughly enjoy the way he handles interviews, I just wish you were a little more aggressive in the interview of her use of the word trafficked. I have been involved with charities that internationally try to help trafficked women, and this is not a "trafficked" woman. Trafficked women don't get to "break up" with their traffickers, trafficked women never see their "P***y" as powerful, trafficked women don't get to go "renegade" when they feel like it, they are mostly poor, stolen women, from poorer countries, who, due to the fact they are most likely here illegally, are scared to go to authorities. I tell it like I think it is, this woman has no right to call herself trafficked imo, and if you listen to her closely, she gave Peter, many times, in her own words, where she tells you she was not the definition of trafficked. When I see her actions, and what she said, I think she is self-describing herself as trafficked for better marketability, and I believe what she did, to label herself as trafficked, is an insult to the real world of trafficked women.

Back in 1994 I worked in South Africa and one night in a bar in Johannesburg I got talking to a prostitute who was turning tricks in the bar. Long story short I paid for an hour with her but all we did was talk and her story was horrible and her parents got murdered in Zimbabwe and she moved to SA to live with a relative. We ended up going out a few times and I'd take her to lunch or out to dinner and I asked her if I could do you want out of this life? She didn't hesitate and said yes! I was lucky because I was working in close protection and I managed to get her a visa to fly home with me back to the UK. She was so so scared but I said give it 6 months and if you want to go back home ill buy the ticket. Fast forward to today and Lisa is married to one of my good friends who knows her past they have 2 beautiful kids and she's a nurse!

A girl I went to high school with moved to Las Vegas, became a prostitute and was murdered with her body cut up in pieces on the side of a highway when she was only 21. If you saw the town we grew up in you’d be shocked. Small middle-upper class town. Literally no crime. Great schools with a very high percentage of kids going to college. Everybody knows everyone and in general is a real community feel. Her family seemed like nice, normal middle class family. It just goes to show you, it can literally happen to anyone.

I hope she didn't have a terrible childhood. A lot of abusive families hide it really well. Many people who become addicts or who are trafficked were treated like scum by their own parents. Just because they couldn't accept that one of their kids didn't take after them, and instead was kind and honest. The years before she was murdered must have been harrowing. Her pimp, Johns and murderer deserve no peace. If her family abused her, they conditioned her to see abuse as love and handed her to her pimp(s).

Well, we can’t assume her parents were abusive but we also can’t assume they weren’t just because they were upper middle class. You never know what goes on behind closed doors. She could also have got some trauma outside of her family. You just never know 😞 it’s very sad, I hope she has found peace.

This documentary is living proof for people who don’t understand why having functional families and having good, understanding parents as role models are so important for society. The likelihood of women being manipulated and abused by these traffickers increases exponentially if they come from households where abuse is common because for them, this is natural.

As my Pastor once said, “The family unit is the bedrock of civilization itself.” Mess it up and you mess up society at large. I watched a Netflix documentary a few months back on prison inmate interviews. Without exception, every inmate said he was abused as a child.
@rosiekapun207
@rosiekapun207 11 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, how functional a family is depends on their culture as well. Many cultures have traditionally been patriarchal with outdated ideals in which women were not considered equals. So, parents repeat these values and girls grow up to believe it. It's a very complex issue but moving towards a more feminist society is probably the best remedy for centuries of mistreatment against women.

@bliss4383 11 ай бұрын
@@rosiekapun207 The most important job in the world is that of a mother. I think it’s in Sweden that women are given a 5-year maternity leave. I’m certain that’s because these are the most crucial years in childhood development. If a child is not nurtured (loved, mirrored, cuddled, cooed at, picked up, gets food and diaper changes when needed, etc.), the baby will suffer from neglect and abuse that results in at least one Personality Disorder. The mother will transfer Oxytocin, the Bonding Hormone, during her pregnancy and it’s critical that ties continued after that, in those crucial years. And if that doesn’t happen, you get a Donald Trump….although he also has Psychopathy, a genetic mutation, passed down from his father. His mother was dealing with a difficult and bleeding pregnancy with her next child, Robert, when Trump was 2 years old. Thus, in comorbidity with the inherited Psychopathy, he developed Cluster A Paranoid Personality Disorder and Cluster B Narcissistic Personality Disorder. In China there used to be a One Child Rule, due to overpopulation. In that culture, sons are expected to care for their parents in ther elderly years. As such, if they had a female child, she was either aborted or put in an orphanage, where she and all the other female babies didn’t get the Nurturing every child needs and deserves. In Christianity, God sees men and women as co-equals - joint heirs to the throne, but it’s evident they have differing roles. There will be trouble if the husband does not submit his life to Christ, but if he does, his wife will be more that happy to follow her husband, as the leader of the family. Jesus was a Servant Leader who led by love. Thus, a husband is to server his wife, and she is to serve her husband. Feminism is simply a rebellion against men who do not lead and love women as Jesus did. Women had numerous prominent roles in the Bible. One excellent book and it’s follow-up, was 12 Extraordinary Women, followed by 12 Ordinary Men….written by my well-known and much loved Pastor, John MacArthur. His large church is truly bustling with happy, well-adjusted families. But the world wants to tear the family apart, and a man want to be in control, because they reject this God of Love, Compassion, Service, Healing, as a Wonderful Counselor and Peace of Peace. He suffered brutally and died for teaching such things, and at a time when women were still nothing more than chattel. He taught men how to love women, not abuse them. And he said, while surrounded by children, “If anyone harms one of these little ones, it is better that a millstone be hung around his neck and he be drowned in the bottom of the sea.” That’s Capital Punishment, so you can see how deadly serous he took child abuse. By contrast, in cultures like Afghanistan, and Thailand, Pedophilia is the norm. Try catching up with Diane Langberg, Ph.D., a Psychologist and Pastor’s wife who’s a 50-year veteran Trauma Counselor, has a private practice in Philadelphia, and has done her work on 6 continents. But make no mistake, her focus has always been first and foremost to take on victims who have been abuse by their so-called” Christian husbands. Jesus and the Apostle Paul both warned of false converts, and repeatedly did so. But if men truly humble themselves, bowing their knee to Christ, learning his ways, that’s where the wonderful and healthy marriages and families begin.

One night two men in her section kept asking her to go to Florida and that they had a house there where a lot of other girls lived too, they hung out & the beach, had all this fun, etc. Luckily we had recently attended an informational meeting on trafficking. They are bad. I was a cocktail waitress in the 90s. A guy used to come in a lot and tip me and another girl very well. He asked me if I wanted to make $80k as a secretary and that I didn't need to know how to type. He said I would need to fly to the UK, Turkey, and Egypt. When I told him I had many years experience in HR he stopped having me serve him. A month later that girl supposedly went on a cruise with him and we never saw her again. Another guy asked me if I wanted to be a flight attendant on a private plane. I told him I couldn't because I had children but after the other offer I wondered if that was legit or not.

Yes…I watched to the end….and to the person who said “she choose this life” …….well yes she DID choose that life…just like every addict. You choose food…drugs…sex…etc. whatever your addiction is…cigarettes! So when you are addicted you CHOOSE your addiction. Most of us are different with OUR choices….we choose things for different reasons. Addiction brings a person down to the depths of despair. When a woman is abused in her childhood/teen physically or sexually or both they most of the time never come out of it on the other side as a normal functioning person. They will many times not feel worthy as a person so they turn to men to try to satisfy them because that’s all they think they are good for….it becomes an addiction of a complete mental illness. Think about it….so sad.

When I was in the Navy stationed in San Diego CA. I knew a girl who was a victim of trafficking. Her street name was Candy. We were getting to know each other by hanging out and having coffee at Dennys in the late hrs of the evenings after leaving the clubs. I was never a trick for her; we would sit and talk about her life and what made me join the military. We started to get feelings for each other as I was trying to get her off the streets. I had to go out to Sea for a month doing coastal patrols and when I got back I went to the Dennys we'd meet at and I was sitting there for a long time. A young lady approached and asked me my name and I told her. She said she was Candy's real sister and that Candy was killed while I was out to sea. She said she wish Candy would have met me a long time before we did; she said Candy always wrote to her about me. I know she's in heaven now looking down on me because I was trying to get her life changed around. Thank you Annie for what you are doing out there in Vegas.

Years later when I was in my 50s I ran into her at a store she told me she was so sorry for not realizing what a good life we could have had if she just stayed with me, but now she had destroyed her body and no longer wanted to be with anyone. It was very sad to see the way she looked, walking like a hundred-year-old woman and her eyes had no life left in them. This lifestyle kills you quickly so let Annie help you. If she was in this kind of lifestyle, why on earth would you date her?? As a man, I don't understand guys that try to turn a you know what into a housewife. I wouldn't even want a woman who was ran through like that. That's her value to me, NOT being ran through. No disrespect and maybe you were young and didn't know any better, but I just don't understand why a man would want a woman that EVERYBODY ran through. If a woman lives this kind of lifestyle whether by force or choice, you can't and you shouldn't take her seriously. To her, intimacy is transactional, so you can never have a relationship with her. There are so many women who are not ran through and ready to get on a good man's program that I just never understood why a guy would dumpster dive. To me, that's the other side of this industry. Men who don't understand THEIR value who support this multi billion dollar industry worldwide. Again, no disrespect, but I just never got that.

I reminisce about days of former drug and alchohol abuse even though that was a dark time in my life. I was miserable at that time but I still found points of happiness and joy in that painful downward spiral. I think it's important to not hide that part. When a young person is warned about harmful lifestyles and they're painted only in an ugly light, if they go out and realize the allure/temptation behind it, they're bound to think their guardians lied to them and do it anyway, only to realize the truth too late. But if we're honest in how alluring and even "fun" a destructive lifestyle can be, but put the weight on the depressing consequences and what those lifestyles are ACTUALLY doing to you, I think maybe you're giving them a fuller picture of what to look out for. Just my opinion though

@Andrew-un8tx I seen right through her from the very beginning of the vid I'm not in Vegas but lived & worked in the hood my whole life I've seen it all in real time & personally known a whole lot of the prostitutes here(I live on outskirts of town now) the drugs is behind 95+% where I'm from used to be mainly crack I know for sure but I think it's a few different drugs now mainly meth heroin & fent the crack not as much but is still there from what I hear I don't hang around the places anymore but still go to the area on daily basis for business so I hear alot but this lady here had me very interested in her story & I can't fully figure her out but I've thought about it for a few min after watching this vid & I think she still loves the town & party lifestyle because of the $ & always has imo( the way she lit up smiling laughing & singin the rap song) & she's a really hard 1 for me to figure out quickly if she's still doing some type of drugs or not (she obviously has the $ for it) but she's 100% sure hiding something that we are not seeing here & I personally think it's something not quite legal but she's extremely street smart from experience(she's befriended the cops very smart on her part & got pretty good finacial backing it seems) it also seems that she's helping alot of people get out of that life so I guess it's a good thing I'd say even if it saves 1 life it's worth it because I've seen that life take so many people the drugs alone are taking so many good peoples lives around here it's incredible I couldn't imagine in Vegas & w the prostitution combined w the drugs it has to be alot more than here (the prostitutes walk the street round here) & the cops have literally just disappeared here non existent fr drive from morning to night & not see a single cop & that's not good at all imo I was told a couple months ago it takes 1-2 days for the cops to even show up if somebody calls them for non emergency

Yep men have intentionally created the world we live in. It was always the purpose behind social media, as we see now. Old men victimizing little girls (and little boys) is quite literally the story of the world. Men destroy, use, and abuse. They are the pedophiles who rape and groom these children and they are the sicko’s that watch it on their phones with their children and wives. Our society should just quit pretending.

I have worked with other women that had pimps and I could not comprehend why they were absolutely in love with them and would make excuses to justify the abuse they endured. I think it is often a combination of childhood trauma, mental illness w/ codependency, addiction and crisis for most women who are involved with prostitution. I make a good living but I am a functioning addict with a very expensive habit. Sometimes I wonder if I would still stay in the industry if I got clean. I honestly don't know. Great video.

My grandpa was lieutenant of detectives for 35 years in Vegas, maybe your best friend knew or heard of him. His name was Carroll Kemp.

@@standdown4929 I’m retired 3 years from LVMPD. We have multiple detective bureaus and each one has a few lieutenants. Do you know which bureau or when he was on? It doesn’t ring a bell to me.

These are really just stories of white women who got caught up in aspects of black culture. These women were born with value. They didn't have to make their value like a man does. They could have found a good man but chose to find a predator. It's more frustrating than sad.

Great video. Was there three weeks ago and oblivious to the under current although aware it existed. Keep them coming Peter. You deserve a wider audience. All the best from Scotland 👍

This channel is a public service. I would never watch a news channel these days because it's all so convoluted. You are literally providing the specials and content about the world around us that we all look for and want to know. Thank you.

Another educational foray into a topic I knew nothing about. Peter, you are doing a tremendous service to our society in bringing truth and transparency to so many crucial yet misunderstood topics.

I think it's just so amazing that Peter is covering stories like this. These are the sorts of things that you would never hear about otherwise, and certainly not with such detail and inside information.

Many many years ago (20+ years at this stage), I worked at a shelter for girls/women who, for the most part, didn't decide to go into this lifestyle by their own choices. The place I worked at had a 'no male policy' with the exception of another social worker and a psychiatrist. These girls were literally dumped on our doorstep, beat to pulp, and we'd try our hardest to help them any way we could. It has changed me significantly and watching this breaks my heart, that nothing has changed. The only thing that gives me hope, are people like Annie, who will keep fighting and let their voice be heard. Keep doing what you do Annie, those girls all need your voice... and Ashley, too. Well done girl ♥ Thank you for highlighting this @PeterSantenello .

I moved to Las Vegas, got a nice apartment and a pimp lived upstairs (no women lived there but his sister)....nice guy, friendly/chatty/ very young (drove a PT Cruiser with a RR grill).....fast forward 15 years and he's standing before a judge explaining why his ho died, "she didn't make enough that night, he beat her and tied her up with a electrical cord, she was crying out for water, bound in the bath tub...next morning she was dead".....he explained to the judge "that she was his property and he meant well"......Judge gave him life without parole...he could not believe it!......he thought his daddy taught him well (he was a pimp also)....he thought everything was normal.......btw, I know Annie, she is the real deal....saw her on the street pleading with a ultra burnt out prostitute that was well into her 50's!

Traffickers should...it makes no sense to treat the victim and not the "pimp". One trafficker affects dozens, if not hundreds of women.
