you've probably figured it out but select the audio in the clip and hit U, that will unlock the audio from the video and allow you to shorten, lengthen etc

i think click with the slide bar where you want to cut and press S and it will cut it up, delete sections as required

@@aminalone ty I did cut all the unnecessary stuffs using split and delete and then joined the pieces and grouped them but now I don't know how to save this group as an audio file. I tried export but it is still exporting the original mp3 then I tried render but rendered audio has no sound whatsoever. I have tried by playing it in multiple media, I tried converting the format of mp3 to aac and others too.. Please tell me if you know

I got the problem when I'm adding fx audio effects that those effects won't work after I rendered the video. Is there something wrong in my rendering settings?

Is increasing the amplitude modulation an acceptable substitution for increasing volume? I ask because bringing up the volume by a set number of decibels seems to increase the various peak points of the audio track by the same exact number of decibels (some too high, while others not high enough). Whereas increasing amp-mod seems to bring various peak levels up proportionally, instead of additively. Thus the higher peaks don’t seem to climb as high, and the lower peaks climb higher. Is this a smarter way to go, or am I missing something important, and doing something wrong by adjusting volume this way?

click on first half of video portion you want to edit-> split audio -> make new audio clip (aka drag below origanal audio) then do your editing on the clip and make sure its in the correct spot just 1 level below
