🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 00:15 📂 To import specific parts (audio or video only) of a clip from the Explorer tab in Vegas Pro, right-click and drag it to the timeline. 00:57 🎞️ L & J cuts shape clips to fit seamlessly together. Instead of using "ignore event override", simply hold "shift" to move audio or video without desyncing. 02:05 🔄 Holding shift can override snapping for more precise clip placement. 02:31 🌒 Customize your fade type by right-clicking on the fade and selecting from a variety of curves and rates. 03:11 🎚️ Double-click on sliders to reset values back to default. 03:52 ⏮️ Use Ctrl+Z to quickly undo any action in Vegas Pro. 04:19 🌊 The "Auto Ripple" function can make editing easier by automatically adjusting the timeline after making a change. 04:59 🖼️ Use the "Insert Slideshow" function to quickly create slideshows without importing each photo individually. 06:05 ⏱️ Adjust the cursor position on the timeline by a specific number of frames or seconds by double-clicking on the timecode. 06:44 🔄 If tracks are resized and become misaligned, press the tilde key to quickly resize them. Ctrl+tilde returns tracks to their default state. Made with HARPA AI

I think having vegas and your os on an SSD and your footage on a HDD 7200rpm drive is a great combo. Here's a old old old video on our other channel about the topic. (so old it says sony) kzbin.info/www/bejne/gnrElnh-ds2HqLM

I'm a small youtube creator for a video game and my following has been growing, but my problem is that it takes me so long to make my videos. Between first writing a script, recording all the audio, recording the footage, editing it all together, etc... A 15 minute video can easily take me 8-12 hours in total. I wanted to find a few tips to at least make the editing portion faster. I definitely see a few things here I can try (the shift on L/J shape and the auto-ripple specifically) and I see some other videos you've done that might be useful to me as well so I'll be sure to check some of those out. What I want to know though, if you happen to know, is would I be at a great disadvantage (when it comes to time-saving) if I'm still using Vegas Pro 15? Also would you happen to have any tips for what would be good things to save in preset/templates?

I may do a time saving tutorial in the future. Pro 15 shouldn't be too different for quickness to edit

I loved Sony Video Platinum for years (V. 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 16), but I had to give back 17. Since I started videos in 4K Sony (now Magix) is not able to render it smoothly. They even gave up on the format Sony cameras use: XAVC-S. Corel Video, which is used, too, for years, is clumsy in it, but still works with 4K. But I changed to PowerDirector. While Sony and Corel both happen to disappear from the screen without reason very often (and did that over all the years) PD never stops working. It is stable and renders very good videos in 4K. But I would prefer some ways Sony handles the timeline. The little "toys" you show are nice, but not vital. Of what use is software that gives poor results?

I found it in 2008. I couldn't turn if off because i turned it on on accident. Life gets better from here, now.
