@@houseofanimation I think Goku’s childlike character is how he is written. Children in fantasy often represents innocence. That’s Goku’s defining trait beside physical strength and fighting.

I agree he has depth. But Akira wrote him to be getting beat up all the time. It makes him become a joke. Him and Picollo are the most developed characters in db franchise. I think him and Bulma being a couple makes no sense. I think his arc would be better if Akira highlighted his strengths as well as weaknesses. King Kai said sayjins trained on different planets. Mugen from Samurai Champloo is an uncouth,arrogant, unruly character. He has great character development. I think The author does this without making him loose and get beaten all the time. I would love Vegeta character if Akira didn’t use him as a plot device/Goku’s foil.

⁠@@houseofanimationhe’s talking the the rapper big L but in all honestly (only talking about Z and before) I do think goku is still the better character but I think vegeta has had more development since his introduction. He’s still less likable than Goku in Z and his development was a little simple imo he basically just went from bad guy to good guy
