Dear Sir Being soft, it will be difficult to use tape to join the Rootstock and Scion, which will reduce the speed of workers and reduce grafting success. It is practically easy to place silicon clip to join the Rootstock and Scion. Its other common english names are malabar gourd, black seed squash and cidra. Please refer to Chapter 1 "Introduction Vegetable Grafting Online Course - Program Introduction" Time interval 15:20 to 15:35 - Reason: Growth rate of Cucurbits is very fast. After grafting, In healing chamber light levels are too low so hypocotyle length increases and plants becomes lanky. Root pruning diverts energy of plants into root formation, this helps in avoiding lankyness in plants. Plants without pruning - Hypocotyle becomes too long inside healing chamber.

But if we talk about practical, it is not possible to make cut of 45 degree every time. But we have to try to make cut slant for proper attachment of RS and Scion.
