What if you pound or blend the ugu after boiling would it give the same result or you must use knife? Pls reply

I haven't tried pounding it but I feel it won't come out well. Because it might end up like a puree which will make the soup watery.. It's supposed to be like paste and not a puree.

Must you use potatsh to boil the ugu

We've never made it without potash but I think salt can do the job.. It's just to help it retain the green color
