@pellealvegetale
@pellealvegetale Ай бұрын
From the tanners' point of view, Splitting is not relevant or decisive for the purposes of vegetable tanning. The tanning phases are Tanning, Retanning, Dyeing and Fatliquoring and the rest such as splitting are simply intermediate mechanical steps! Are you interested in something specific?
@beganovicc
@beganovicc Ай бұрын
@@pellealvegetale well people need to be educated and informed about leather splits. They go around buying "genuine leather", bonded leather and everything other than full and top grain. They know little of dying with aniline and semi aniline. Most people who own leather products have never touched the real leather surface, always the film and color layers on top. The video is great but this would make it extremely useful to consumers.

pellevegetale because there is a type of cheap leather called genuine leather used in cheap belts and wallets, companies market it as genuine to make it seem like it’s good quality leather when in reality its not
@pellealvegetale
@pellealvegetale 4 жыл бұрын
@@charlesbronson240 We think you're confusing with other material. Vegetable tanned leather is a precious leather. The transformation from raw hides into a material that will resist throughout time is a process that slowly happens into wooden drums, in full respect of man and the environment. An astonishing process based on the use of natural tannins extracted from trees, on modern technologies and machineries and on the slow passing of time.
